One of my staffs approached me today and asked me if she can file a bereavement leave for at least. I asked her who died. She said her 4 year old nephew. I was shocked. I asked what age. She said 4 years old. I asked her why. She told me because of Dengue. It got me disturbed because I have a 4 month old kid and sometimes the Nanny brings him outside since he loves it whenever they are out at the terrace. The boy who died was a one and only son by her brother and according to her the family especially the parents are in too much sorrow and grieving right now. I had this sinking feeling in my stomach and remembered my younger sister who died at 6 months old due to leukemia. So when I arrived home today I told the Nanny not to bring Dylan outside at the garden since a lot of kids and even adults are getting Dengue. I told her about the nephew of my staff who died. I think she noticed how worried I am so she assured me she is takig good care of the baby. Well, I know that but sometimes I just can't help it. I worry too much when it comes to my son. I believe it's just normal for parents right? Or am I overreacting?

Its a normal reaction for us parents especially mothers to worry too much when it comes to our kids. We always wants what's best for them & protect them the best that we can be. Its very hard in our part to concentrate to work when our kid is sick/not feeling well.

That is right. I remember how my Mom used to take very good care of me as a child when I was so sick. My father would even go home from work during his break just to see me and check my condition when I'm sick.
