want to make friends with other professional photographers

Hi. I am new to MyLot and want in particular to make friends with other pros. I think that this may be a good forum to talk shop and I have gobs of questions about the state of the business during these bad economic times. Wow! It sure is challenging. I was a successful pro in the nineties and have decided to get back to the vocation that I am most passionate about. I just can't seem to be happy unless I am making my living at this! I was foolish to ever leave the field and now I am paying for my absence. I am still putting out good work, maybe better than ever, but breaking back into this field has been extremely tough, especially on a shoe string budget. The old ways of marketing are obsolete, what worked for me then just doesn't anymore, in a business sense that is. I hope there is someone out there who is doing well and would be willing to help a colleague get back on his feet, do a little business coaching as it were. I swear, I will not give this wonderful way to make a living up again and will "go down shooting" if I must! I know you guys are out there! Help please!
