How do you show someone that you are a good friend?

Hello Ms.NakitaLikely3617, I saw this discussion of yours and just wanted to take the time out of my day to respond to this discussion because this is a great discussion. I feel like a way to show anyone that you are a good or great friend is to treat that person how you would want to be treated. Also always remember that there will be hard times to come in just about every single relationship in life, doesn't matter if it is mother and daugther, boyfriend and girlfriend, husband and wife, brother and sister and friend and friend. There will always be and obstacle that you have to face. Whether you overcome that obstacle just depends on how you choose to tackle that obstacle. And in just about every single relationship there will be times where you do not agree with what the other person involved is doing or how they are handling a certain situation but if you just stand by them and show them the although you do not agree with what they are doing you are still there for them and you are not going anywhere that says a lot about your character and who you are a person. I know that there were a lot of things that I have did and done that people were not in agreeance with but they did not turn they backs on me. Anyone that would turn their backs on you in your time of need are not really for you! Well NakitaLikely3617 the power of the pen is in my hand and it is not going anywhere. hi... i think there is no need to show when you are good friend... there is nothing to show or prove that you are good... just the deeds you do to them will do it. you just need to be helpful, sportive,caring and loving... everything else will be done by itself and you dont have to do something to prove or show that he/she is your good friend.

I believe that it's only our friends who can truly say whether we are being a good or bad friend to them. For me, there may be some things which I insist is right but my friend does not approve of, and it might not be taken well. So, we should keep the peace, loving support, and respect in a friendship.

Hello nakitalikely!!! I think the best way to show you are a good friend is trust asn loyalty. And not just telling him or her you are that, but prooving it with this actions: If they tell you a secret never ever tell anyone. If they tell you a gossip of someone, don't spread it. Don't gossip with he or she about other friends because (s)he'll think you do the same when u r with others about her or him!! Also be there in good and bad times, but that sounded like a boring wedding so I'm gonna stop here!!! Hope this works, its a practical answer!!! Libna.
