what's your favorite english vocabulary?

They said that learning is a lifelong process and that we should continue to learn things and one of the things I am trying to improve on these days is my vocabulary. There are so many English vocabularies, most of the time they are very uncommon or commonly used. My favorite English vocabulary is the word "banal". It actually means repeated very often or overused. I like it because its unique and its new to me. How about you? What your favorite English vocabulary and why do you like it?
