Ok everyone. Maybe an odd question but I am so curious about this one.
We had a HUGE thing of hamburger in the freezer that I knew we must use or risk wasting due to freezer burn. So, I decided to make a large meatloaf. It has been years since I made one and honestly felt a little creative. I began to look up recipes on the internet and was floored at how many different ways meatloaf can be made?
My question to you is what do put in your meatloaf? Do you make it the same every time or do you just throw stuff in it?
By the way I ended up making a very plain meatloaf using onion soup mix and zesty bread crumbs. It was delicious!

It depends on our mood. We have put jalapenos in a meat loaf, olives, pepperoni, etc. The awesome thing about meatloaf is that there is so many different ways to prepare it and it don't need to be the same every time.

I put onion soup mix, worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, an egg, oatmeal, and green peppers. I top it off when its finished with lots of ketchup. Sometimes I put in other vegtables,so my kids dont know they're eating healthy vegtables. I also use bbq sauce sometimes.

Hey kymomof3,
I thought about slipping in the veggies too but was afraid that the kids would see them and my youngest would pick them out. I think I will try it because I need to get more veggies in our diet!
As for ketchup I can't stand that. I cook mine w/o a topping and then dip it in BBQ sauce when I am eating it. YUMMO!
My cousin puts picante all over his. What do you think about that?
