It is important to watch news for you to be updated but there are really times that the news are not anymore helpful because when I watch news I see people fighting, children snatching, and so on. Same with you I watch news sometimes.

Not that much. I only watch the news if my parents watch the news. But when it's just me, I rarely do. I guess I'm kind of apathetic to what's going on in our country... Hmmm, I would probably only watch entertainment news, but I hardly do that as well. I'd rather watch cartoons or a tv series or a movie LOL!

I do sometimes, but not very often. I used to watch CNN daily, but over the past two or three years I have been moving away from television journalism. With the internet it is so much easier to find the news I want to see quickly and read it for the parts I am interested in. Watching the news means listening to a lot of worthless stories in between the good ones that I want to hear. Thanks for the post!

Hi Health,
I always watch the news on TV. Before going to work, i turn onthe tv to see what's up for the day and what's happening around me. then in the evening i watched the tv again to be informed about any updates local and international. it's just frustrating watching more negative news, tragedies, corruptions, etc. but that's the reality and we need to be aware of it and try our best to do something about this situation.

i dont watch TV that much specially because in our country it only brings bad news more than good news. after the big news that happened about the mass massacre in some part of our country last year, i have refrained from watching news because it affects me in a bad way.

I do watch news, i watch TV Patrol and 24 Oras and even news from CNN, BBC and Fox. I do watch news to know the latest happening in the world, every country has a good news and bad news, it is always equal if we have good news there will be bad news too. I want to know what is happening in the world, you can sympathize with problems of other people and you learn something from news too. Like now , it is the month of campaign for election, by simply watching them you can choose who will you choose as president.

I love wathc news on TV, almost every night I will watch news on tv because I want to watch the weather. Seems weather report on TV is more exact than online! And local tv news you can get more information about local, sometimes the news is very helpful.

I don't know how much news they are broadcasting in your country, but here we have it every 1 hour.
So, in a day, I usually hear it on the radio, but sometimes I happen to watch it on the t.v. as well.
Also, if one day there is a terrorist act, I am probably gonna get a call from someone I know, who will tell me to watch the news and see the reports about it...

I generally avoid the news on television, it's too much sensationlation and focus on getting ratings over actually giving you the news. It's why I read the news instead, and typically go out of the country for it as well, the BBC is usually top on my list. And sadly it gives me more information and a more clear unbiased view on what is going on in America then any American news organization is capable of.

Rarely. Only when I want hear about something on particular. I stopped a long time ago. The news just depresses me and gets me all paranoid. Even health wise you may go a little coo-coo. They tell you don't eat this, don't eat that. Many many years I used hear the health lady on the news say: "bla bla bla..so in order to be healthy you need to eat complex carbohydrates and bla blah" And now about a decade ago carbs got a bad wrap" Even eggs were bad for you, now they are good because they are high in protein and they are good for losing weight etc. So, I don't trust them anymore. :( They are like the scientists that they have changed their mind with Pluto...hey they are smart..but don't know it all.
