The tour is over and Nightwish is back in the studio.
Time to reflect.
What were your favorite moments on tour? Which show(s) did you catch? Interesting moments at the meet-and-greets? Favorite songs? Special moments?
Here are some of mine:
- Marco looking stunned when I fanboyed at him about his work in Tarot.
- Emppu making one of these \m/, pointing it at me, and waggling it back and forth.
- Discovering Sonata Arctica because they opened.
- Troy Donockley joining Last of the Wild
- The Brueland family in attendance, Higher Than Hope

I have not really gotten familiar to Nightwish's material, but I have been sort of following Tarja's solo career.
I need to ask. Where did you come up with your user name? That mechanical cat-like creature on Priest's Defenders Of The Faith album?
Oh - yeah - that \m/ was credited to an elfin-like guy named Ronald James Padavona. I probably don't need to say more than that.

Yes, that's where I get the user name from.
My nickname in college was Mr. Padovana's stage name because my classmates had an easier time reading it from my shirt rather than trying to remember my first name.

I'm not sure when you joined the site, but about a year ago, this other MyLotter & I had a very long discussion in my response where we both managed to somehow, mention a Priest title in it. I have not been able to find it though.
You also mentioned shows. The only Nightwish stuff I actually enjoyed on youtube was The Phantom Of The Opera with Tarja. While Anette is an OK vocalist, I find her voice just not powerful enough. Tarja has done this same song in her solo career, but her brother seemed to not do as well as Nightwish's bassist. I believe that if Tarja ever does that particular number in a future show with another male vocalist other than Nightish's bassist, Dio would probably be the right guy for that job. You'd probably agree as well.

Unfortunately Nightwish wasnt around my country on this tour. I would love to see them live. I think your so lucky you had the chance to meet them.
Sonata Arctica is actually my favorite band and i knew about them before nightwish(they have around the same time on business).
