Hello Lotters,
Before the Presidential debates, there was only proclamations and commercial tv ads about these candidates. Personally, i thought Noynoy and Villar were really the salvation for the country. Not! but during the first few debates conducted by ABS, i noticed that other candidates had more substance than the so-called popular people in the so-called Presidential Survey.
I've been watching it in youtube and it gives you clear sense of choice of whom should you really vote for this coming 2010.
but i noticed that some where along the program, the Media was bit bias in this.
just watch the whole video and you will notice it.
As for me, I have already a candidate in Mind
What ever your comment or response just put it here.
have a great day

i do watch the presidential debates, letranknight. at times, i resent they way they act and answer. at other times, i like the way they project themselves, almost revealing their true characters. also, if you are sensitive enough, when watching debates, you'll notice who making a spiel or whose speaking only from the skin of his teeth. regarding media bias, it will always show. moderators or media people doing the interview will always tend or show bias... and it's not good, because the candidate sometimes shows resistance and loses the true essence of what he is saying or about to say... that, to the detriment of the watching public... us...

Hello bystander,
Of course, they will be defensive, if they do then they lost the appeal of the people. but you know those who are being bashed are so good in responding the situation of the questions well.
Of course, we need to see it if there's a sign or body language that states that they are somewhat guilty or lying with their answers. but i was stunned about gordon in part 9 since gibo is being drilled by ted on a specific yes or no question.
Besides, the questions being asked are not the same per candidate, most based on the issues that they are with.that's what i noticed.
Here. the lates Presidential feb.8 i think regarding the Inquirer Pres.debate in UP. check it yourself, we have to see what they "STAND" for our country.

Is there anything that can help you decide whom to vote instead of whining how they are not good with their answers? it's clear who's playing safe and know "how" what else is there? boycott? i know you're being realist i just wanted to know how can you determine who's the right candidate. if debates can't convince you, then what can make you convince? thanks.

hardly are there variances in answer, letranknight. but you will always see and hear variances in questions and the way it is being asked, call that bias, perhaps it is. but a good speaker never goes out of bounds. any of the candidates will stick to their answers, no matter what. that's consistency. you may see some differences in the way they answer in different fora, but the substance is basically the same. well, we have to get used to the political methapors and the manner by which they send their message in different tones, called jogular... still, discussions enlighten the people... and that's the objective of having these debates...

Hi Letran,
It's good that you have already one in mind of who will be the next president of the Philippines. The debate helped you made a decision, so thanks to ABS' effort to make that debate. I also have one in mind friend. Good luck.

that's inevitable. inasmuch as they claim they are fair and not bias at all--it still come out and people feel and see it. so, it's up to us to decide and vote wisely. thanks for sharing with me all these links. i appreciated your effort! mabuhyay ka!

oh i think im getting sick with all these candidates. they always believe to have a great platform. they always put first the poor people. those good words. even the dancing and singing tactics to feel like they're really one of those who are experiencing poverty. but all these are good only after a winner is proclaimed. after that...everything is back to normal... misery!

Hello drake,
but you are a voter, the difference now is that we have debates conduct by the media. we shouldn't be pessimistic for our country, and not every candidate is really saying they're for the poor, some are actually wanted to uplift the standards of the Filipinos and not simply saying they're for the poor.
How can you describe Normal after proclamation? we should do something and not just the next president, everything is a failure with out the cooperation of the people. well, we have to do something about getting rid of that misery.

i guess you are right to say that, as the survey says, those two candidates could be the saviour of our country. and, with the debates or forum held elsewhere, you could notice that there are also possibilities with the other candidates. i have my own bet too, just before the campaign period started, right after each one of them declared that they are, or will run and seek the presidency. but the campaign period had just started and the election is still a long way to go, though it is near. let's just remain open, mind and sight. there are still a lot of what could happen, a lot of changes to expect. we may never know, one of them will back out and join the other team. expect the unexpected.

these people had actually prepared for debates but we think they should conduct and aire these debates to the squatters area. i live near the squatters area and you know what, they are shouting for erap, noynoy or villar. but i can't believe what erap just did.

i have tried watching them show their plans when they get elected and i see that none of them are fit to be the next president of the Philippines.but since they are the only choice we have might as well pick the best among them. you didn't share to us who you are rooting for.but for me i think its a wise choice to pick the Gordon-Bayani tandem because persons are really dedicated in what they are doing an dim sure having them in the top seat in the Philippines will really make a good history for Filipinos in the future.

Hello john,
You should watch from the first to the last part. Yes, Gibo was giving a very good detailed plans in his platform but some how ted failon attacked him second hand withmore rebuttels and giving more time for the aquino to respond positively. there should be a vice presidential debate so that we would see if Bayani is up to the task? perlas is being favored too but JC and Jambi are...errr..i dunno.
Gordon and Gibo had more sense and they had substance on their answers to the questions from the students, the rest are either way off, neither related or simply playing it safe. have a great day.

hello Letran,
I don't watch them debate...anyway,whoever had the seat for the next presidency won't change the country for 6 years.
We need a president who really had a good heart and fear to GOD.
Let's just hope and pray that our countrymen will be voting wisely this coming election.

Hello Sis,
I insist that you SHOULD. i think most of them are packed with the good heart, even though some are connected with the Administration or simply in trouble with controversies. it really gives a good insight on who has a clear vision for the country. as Gordon would say, we shouldn't give up hope, most specially if we are smart enough to get around it. i do believe pray and action will both allow us to move forward for the next six years. have a great day.
