i always get into public transportation such as bus or train everytime i go out. it usually full of people, especially in rush hours. sometime i could sit if i find an empty seat, but most of time i stand for long time. but one day i met a nice young man who offered his seat to me. it was just a surprise gift for me LoL. thank to that young man who so kind and care about woman like me. i hope there will be many guys like him. and this is my question, if you are in full public transportation, would you care to offer your seat to somebody else? which one do you choose, a woman with kid, old woman, or pregnant woman? thanx for share

Hi Emediloy
Thats sure one tough question. All of them deserve a seat to be honest.
Well.. We'll have to look atthe the situation first.
For the woman with a kid, the question is, how old is the kid? If its an infant, I would certainly allow her to take my space. Holding an infant on a bus is pretty dangerous, you'll never know when the bus driver does an emergency break.
For the old woman, it depend how "frail" she looks like.
For the pregnent women, it depends how many months she's been pregnant. A 9 month preganant lady standing in the bus is surely quite tough.
Hmm.. Since I can't exactly give 1 seat to each of them, may be i'll coax someone else to give them a seat. By this way, they'll get to sit down, like they deserve too.
Have a nice day!

Hi Kyladilla! I agree with your scenarios. It depends on their status... I am a woman, but would definitely offer my seat if I saw someone like what you just described. But I think, I would consider also giving my seat to a six months pregnant lady (definitely depends on how big her tammy is... and how strong she looks like in balancing...)

If they all come puff in one instance...like seeing these person in front of me(i wonder if people besides me were all blind not to see these women standing in front of them lol)
If the old woman is really old and look weak...i will offer my seat to her first.
But,if the woman is holding a baby...then,i would prefer to give the seat to her,at least the old woman can stand still and can hold bar without difficulty, unlike the woman holding a baby and also cling to a bar to hold her balance.
...but,if among the three....a pregnant woman looks helpless,like..she's having some labor pains...i will surely disregard the other two women.
Ok...guys...maybe i will shout and say..."hey!!!anyone wants to offer a seat for these three women"?(hahaha..just kidding)
Maybe i will asks politely to other passenger to give their seat to those women.
And..i am thankful that, trains here in our country had a special couch intended for aged people, pregnant woman, and with those people who had kids with them.
How i wish some bus will also implement rules like that...make the first two rows of front seat for elderly, pregnant and with kids.

I am a woman but I would still offer my seat. I am one of those people who pays arttention to everyone around me and I would give my seat for anyone who needed it, a pregnant woman, or an old man or woman. I am ust nicelike that. People need to be that way more often.

ya,I offer my seat always to old persons,as they are mostly needed. But I never offer to general women,as do not think there is any need, except pregnant women.

I would give even an older male my seat. I usually check around and if someone looks like they need to sit, i will offer my seat to them.
I think its wonderful when people are so considerate and they actually take the time out of their day to do a stranger a kind gesture.
It absolutely just makes my day.

It really depends. If I'm going to have a long journey ahead or I have a lot of belongings with me or I'm tired, I would just close my eyes and rest after I found a seat. If I don't rest and I saw those people who needed the seat more than I do standing in front of me, I would give up the seat for those people. Most of the time I would choose old woman or pregnant woman. Even if I give up seat for woman with kid, it's also not enough for both of them.
