What is courage to you

My 7 years old cub scout den is talking about courage tonight at their meeting. I would like to have some different thoughts of courage to share with them. Please share your thoughts or a story when you showed courage

Here is a story of a student. He was studying Philosophy at the university and there was an exam question that was asking the very same question: "What is courage?"
He wrote: "This is courage" and gave his paper to his lecturer and left the building.

Courage means that you keep on going no matter how scared you are. You keep on going, and you do what you have to do in the situation at hand, whatever that situation may be. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being scared. What matters, and what makes you courageous, is that you do not let that fear control you, and that you do not let that fear stop you from pressing on towards your objective...
