It's good to know that you are being served; but it's more fulfilling if you serve others. Being servant to others is a good attitude.

We are all servants of something...ultimately we are serving our senses constantly. We are serving our bodies, and the demands of our minds. I saw a picture once, of a chariot. There were six or seven horses pulling it, and they represented the senses. They were running wild and uncontrolled, ready to jump over a cliff to their doom. The "person" was sitting in the chariot, hanging on for dear life..unable to control the horses (the senses). We are a slave to our sense demands. We serve our senses at all costs. Not realizing that it is possible to rise above the demands of our senses. But it is the constitutional position of the soul to serve. If not the material energy, then we serve the spiritual energy. It is up to us to chose. We are all servants of something.

There are so many acts of kindness that we can do for each other. These things maybe a big one or a small one but to serve others doesn't really require it to be something big or small as long you were able to help others. I also believe that to be a good leader is to become a good servant. In my religion, we are always taught about simple acts of service. We dont need to go outside of our house to serve people but we can already serve people in our own house. We can always wash the dishes for our mom, cook dinner for the family, take care of a younger brother or sister, do things with out being asked and so on. Remember as the bible says, if you serve others you also serve God.
