Did YouTube add an option to block a country from watching your videos?
My boyfriend who lives in the usa atm, sent me a youtube link. When I went there, it said that the group that uploaded this video, blocked the access to it for people from my country.
I feel ashamed for youtube. As a part of google- who's been blocked/banned in China, I would have thought they will give more thought to this. It's not fun to discover one day, that some youtube users blocked you just because you are from a country they hate... What will be the next option? blocking people because of their faith? How about gender? or skin color?
I am very offended for all of the people in my country, and I hope it will be changed soon.
Cheers from Israel~

I don't think it has anything to do with "country hate", I think it's because of copyright laws. Some artists from Britain have been unable to release certain covers of songs in America because of the copyright for the original artist is exclusive and still in place. I think that's what the deal is here. They have permission to distribute in one country, but not in another so they block that country from being able to see it. It's nothing against Israel.

Yeah, YouTube did add that option. Unfortunately, I had to find that out the hard way. My very first video I uploaded to YouTube was "blocked in some countries." I was mad, because it took me four hours to make it. THANK YOU YOUTUBE!!!!!
