I used to use a seperate mouse with my laptop but I decided to see how long it would take for me to learn to use the mousepad on the laptop. I'm hooked now and don't want to go back!
I did have a wireless keyboard and mouse since the cords drove me nuts, I brought one into work and nicely made sure that everyone knew it was my personal property. Considering I often worked 10 hour days at the pc, it was worth it to me.
Take Care!

I was taught on a lap top with a little red dot that was used. and then I got my own lap top with the touch sensitive square, but my lap top is an older lap top and the cursor gets stuck so I started using a mouse. I find using a mouse soo much easier. when I get a new lap top i'll get a wireless mouse to go with it.

I use a laptop for everything (unless I am at work or need the main computer for printing or some other task), and I do not use a mouse. I have tried but it is really weird. I am used to being able to quickly move down to my touchpad. I think the only reason that I would consider switching to a mouse would be for gaming, as I have found a touchpad is hard to use for navigation while you are using the keyboard for other action(s).

Hi! I prefer to work on the laptop with my mouse because I operate faster and preciser with the mouse than with the touchpad. Sometimes when I have eaten or done something with my hands and they are dirty or dingy with some food, I use the touchpad with my little finger, so that I don't mess the mouse

First time when I bought my laptop, I also bought a new mouse because it is not comfortable. Time came when my mouse suddenly not working. I'm force to use the touch pad of my laptop and now I'm doing great in using the touch pad as a mouse of my laptop.

I just started using a laptop with the internal mouse and its fairly easy as long as I have my nails short. It's still a little awkward so I use an external mouse to make things easier...
