Would you prefer to spend on imitation/fake goods or no brand goods?

I'd rather purchase no brand items than wasting money on imitation items. I just don't like the idea of wearing fake goods. I know that those who can't afford for the original ones, e.g brands like LV, Gucci.. they would take the opportunity to fork out money for the imitation goods(some you really can't tell its fake), mostly just to show off or just to own it. How about you? Which do you prefer? If you prefer imitation goods, y isit so? Just for sharing. Heh

yeah i agree with you. Sometimes i buy my stuff at flea markets and thrift stores too which is far more affordable although its used. And of course, clothes which are comfortable and looks good on me feels much better than having to buy branded ones.

I do not care if immitation/fake or what brands too and I do not care if cheap or expensive. For expensive one I look for the quality and of course looks good on me too. I buy cheaper ones as long as I like the design even quality is not so good (it's cheap anyway) and looks good on me too. The most important is it always looks good on us.

Hi itwirl, Yup, I prefer getting no brand items. E.g. I got most of my clothes from on-line stores and they are much cheaper and unique in design. Don't wish to get imitation cos if you are being "exposed" (haa!), it's rather embarrassing =)

Yeah, that's wat i thought too if ppl are able to tell that i'm wearing the imitation one.. Having to wear sumthing unique although its a no brand, isn't as embarrassing as wearing the imitation one

I have no need to wear those super expensive brands which I cannot afford either, as I am not out to impress anyone.I just buy what I can afford, and what fits me or what suits me, the brand does not mean one thing to me at all. Imitation anything is not my style either. If one cannot buy the real, change to something you like and can afford.

I do not buy imitation or knock offs. I buy clothes that I like. If they are name brand so be it. There are plenty of stores that have genuine brands at a good price. I am not into brand name knock offs. I do not want to support this and help businesses that do make genuine items go out of business and hurt our economy as a whole. AS consumers we do have to look at the big picture.

I do not buy knock offs, since I think they look a bit tacky and cheap (no offence to those wearing knock offs, but most of them really are not that well made!). I prefer no brand goods by far, since the issue for me is mostly that the things I get look nice, not what brand it is. There are a lot of nice no brand stuff around, so I do not see any reason to avoid them. But knock offs, on the other hand, are almost always ugly!
