Can you fall in love more than once? I simply can't forget the girl I loved

My problem is this. It's more than 4 years now since I broke up with the girl I loved. It was love on my side, she never told what her feelings were for me but she made no bones about the fact that she liked me a lot. We spent a lot of time together for about an year or so. Unfortunately, due to trivial reasons, we had a huge spat and we broke up. And now, even after all these years, I still can't forget her. I still love her. Is it possible for me to fall in love again? Or should I try to reach out to her once more, and hope time has healed the wounds in our relationship.

About 6 years ago my father passed away and recently my mother has started dating again. Within the 6 months I have seen my mother fall in love all over again and I do know that I could have been more supporting wen she started dating. But she is dating a great guy now who cares about her and I am happy for her and glad should has found love again.

Would you feel comforatable calling another person "Dad" or "Mom" who is not your biological parent? I personally feel people should not remarry if they have children who resent their parents entering another relationship. Then what respect do we have for people? Are spouses also use-and-throw and, like they have an expiry date, and they die, simply replace them with a new one. I find it disturbing.
