Since my mother was pregnant, she listens to music as she says that it will affect, I mean enhance the child's brain and memory. Yes, it is true because of my mother listening to the music when she is pregnant. I'm a music prodigy, I play the piano at the age of 5. And today, now I'm an adult. Joining to Band contest and my degree is on music course. I cant live without the music. Its my food to the soul. I'm not particular to what genre it is, the important thing is I enjoying it. What's yours?

Not everybody loves music, because others hate it, remembering the hurt, the past and buried-to-the-ground memories. They didn't know that music will makes them heal and make them feel ok. Because of music, the sick will have a fast recovery.

Well my mom didnt play music on her tummy while she was pregnant or anything, but she lived around a lot of musical people my dad is one of those people and still is very musical, and there was always drums, piano, and other instruments and musicians around my mom and me, and my mom is a pretty good singer as well.
the whole family was constantly listening to all kinds of music through the years so I think my love of music stems from a lot of what I was exposed to I mean musically we listen to journey pat benatar and others, and just being around musical people is one of the reasons I love to listen to a very diverse mix of music and I'm a pretty decent singer too, I've been drawing since I was three and I was even in the paper once. so I think music and artistry go hand and hand because there both very valuable art forms.
Well you can listen to one of my favorite music mixes in my profile if you like have a great day.

Hello cute_poporing! When I was a kid I love to hear music! and until now every time I hear some of beats it makes me dance or sing. Music for me is the important thing because if there is no music life is so boring music gives colour in our life!

They say music is the cure for loneliness. Even a beat, my feeling will become happy. Music also gives hope for the hopeless, so they can fight the challenges in life.

Yes my friend, when pregnant mothers listen to music the development of the child in there womb has a great effect in the outside environment. My mother too, tells me that I often know music from the 60s and 70s than todays music genre.. I just say that should be impossible, because I was born in the 80s which was the genre of BOY Bands..
But yes My friend, I know the feeling.. lol

This is true, I read an article that this can lead to a good effect to the baby inside the womb. Being a music addict, is a natural.

I love music because I believe it has healing properties and other characteristics that can affect a person in a positive way.
I have read for years that letting the fetus "listen" to music especially classical music can enhance their IQ. Most research says that the fetus is affected more than people realize by what the mother experiences.
I've even read that if your mother ate a certain food a lot when she was pregnant that you will also crave that food for your lifetime.
So it definitely believable to me that there is a connection between a child who heard music before birth becoming an avid lover of music.
As far as what type of music I like. I love all kinds of music except music which gives negative messages and uses negative words like profanity. I love music from different countries even if I don't know the words. It's what my ears respond to that's important to me.

Hi cute_poporing! I'm a music lover too. I can't go on a day without listening to one. I can play different musical instruments as well. When I was a child my parents used to sing with me or make me sing in front of other people for entertainment. Now, I'm a music addict! Happy mylotting!

Hello Cute,
Good for you for being a prodigy. I guess it worked well on you.
My mom also had music playing all the time while she was pregnant and she'd also have music on whenever I was sleeping during the day. She would also sing to us when we were put to bed.
Funny thing is, my mom cant hold a tune and we learned the kiddie songs from her. Well believe it or not, we can all sing those songs IN tune!!
My dad has a good ear for music, he can play many music instruments, my brothers played guitar and drums, my sister the flute. Im the only one who never felt the need to play anything, but I do have music on all the time at home. Cant live without it. I'll listen to any music, rock, metal, rap and classic also.
Im sure hearing music when you're a baby has something to do with your love of music later in life.

Lady GaGa plays the piano at the age of 4 and became famous for her techno pop songs. So that means, when her mom was pregnant, she also listened to electronic songs XD (just kidding). All music prodigies are like that. Their brains are already enhanced before they were born. Too bad my mother didn't listen to music before when she was pregnant with me. The only thing she did before I was born was reading books aloud, sing and talk to me. I guess those didn't have much effect on me....

I am completely addicted to country music, though i do listen to all types of music. I do agree that listening to music while your pregnant does effect the child. When i was pregnant i listened to a lot of music, and now my son at 10 months old stops whatever he is doing whenever he hears music and just smiles and listens. I hope he has inherited my passion for music, and plan to do what i can to encourage any musical talents he may have.

And my Mom admitted to me she'd leave me in a room with the music playing when I was a baby and I was quite content! I often wonder if this shaped my feelings towards music now. I am a music producer and artist and I have always had a keen ear for music growing up. It is "The soundtrack to our lives." I have a prolific passion for music and making music. Working on my third full length album as we speak...
I think music does enhance our ability to do a number of things. It can be that thing that elevates a child's mind to that next level of thought. Perhaps it can be applied to more than I can comprehend but I feel music can be a tool to reach masses of people. I am a big hip hop head myself as I grew up in the era where hip hop was still new and in New York it was our thing in the streets. Reggae music as well was a major influence in me. I have developed a respect for all genres of music now and have actually produced music for R&B and Country music artists, as well as hip hop.
Great topic!!!

I like music, a lot. But really, who doesn't? I don't produce music or sing, or even play an instrument. However, I really enjoy listening to the creations of other people. That is until we hit rap. It has to be a really good rap song to even get me to think about listening to it.
I listen to music for many different reasons. I listen to it to calm me down, or to change my feelings to something that I would prefer. I listen to it while I work or write, to help keep my mind focused. Not sure why music works the way it does, I guess it doesn't matter. Music is fun to listen to with friends, and in the car. I really don't know what the world would do without it. Honestly.
