Is There Any Transcription Site That I Can Go To and Immediately Get Job? / myLot

I learned that transcription job pays good and I have studied transcription at home. Before I used to transcribed office meetings. But I guess transcribing online would mean I have deadlines to meet and would have to improve my skills on this trade. Any transcriber out there who can help me out in this endeavor?

What is transcription? Is it worthwhile investing time into it? and is the profit returned worth all of the effort?

I read from one article that you can earn at least $30 for an hour doing transcription job. This is transferring audio file to written documents. You should also have some software that will help you to pause the audio so that you can write down the content of the audio file. If you are good in listening and fast to type, I think it is worth the effort to do this as a regular job.

If you want to do is at home, try oDesk.com. It's not a transcribing company but you will find many clients that are looking for transcribers. Just register, take and pass the oDesk readiness test. Then look for jobs in there.
