i have a good friend. her mom get ill. her mom couldn't eat anything cos felt full in her mom's stomach. because very little food and nutrition, her mom's body become drop. my friend bring her mom to sanglah, centre hospital at bali, indonesia. sanglah hospital known as wrong and bad diagnosis and lab result. sanglah hospital also known just really care with patient who has family with doctor in sanglah hospital.
back to my friend's mother. doctor at sanglah hospital diagnosis my friend's mother go liver tumor.that diagnosis just said by sanglah's lab result without ultrasonography's result. my friend ask the doctor about it but they said cannot doing ultrasonography with her mom cos the tumor has attack kidney. how come it be?
now my friend's mother feel shortness of breath. two days ago i see her mom can talk, sit down even she looks limp.but she 's ok. my friend's mother condition like my mother. my mom also difficult to eat and being drop cos less with nutrition and food.but my mother have been caring with good doctor. my friend's mother doesn't.
i advise my friend to consult with my mother's doctor for second opinion and doing check lab again at another laboratory. and also doing ultrasonography.
but my friend and her family have been giving up with her mother's condition like sanglah hospital said too.
i am very sad about this. i believe sanglah diagnosis absolutely wrong. and i am afraid sanglah hospital has been give wrong medicine to my friend's mother.
i am sure my friend's mother could be well and health if taken by my mother's doctor and doing check lab that give good and true result for best medicine.

Hi intari,
It is very sad when doctors and hospitals do not give the full care that a person needs. That is to say, they do the bare minimum for a patient. Here in the USA a hospital and doctor can be sued for malpractice. If you feel that the doctor's diagnosis is wrong and the way they are treating your friend's mother is wrong, then I suggest you implore to your friend to please bring her mother to your mother's doctor. Describe that your mother had the same symptoms and is being treated by a doctor who cares about her.
Tell them not to give up hope, that it would be so sad to see her mother die because they gave up hope. Doctors can be wrong, whether they do so intentionally or not, it is better to seek another doctor's opinion.
I hope they'll listen to you.

Here in the USA you can't phone the doctor on another's behalf unless your making an appointment for them or are their executor. I hope though that you contact someone for advice! How old is said friend's mom?

Under such conditions, a second opinion is always essential. I cannot make out how the doctor in Sanglah hospital could diagnose a liver tumour without going for an USG and a scan. He may well have done some blood tests. I also cannot make out why an USG could not be done if the kidney is also involved. USG is a non-invasive investigation. So it would never aggravate an existing condition. Moreover, if he suspects a liver tumour, he must have to confirm whether it is benign or malignant. If it is proved to be malignant, he has to confirm whether it is primary or secondary. If it is secondary, he has to find out the primary source and further treatment depends on this primary source.
