hi ybon. could i tell that this is a sort of carelessness? but kidding aside, this seems the problem with us people, careless in some of our decisions, actions, etc. or it could be the age?

Yes i admit it's carelessness on my part. Well, my wife told me exactly the same thing. The last time i remembered the ATM card is just in my jeans. I don't really want to put it aside because i have this tendency to forget where i put things. Well, we tend to forget things as we age . My jeans is there but sadly no ATM card in any of the pockets. So i guess it must have fallen somewhere. But i'm not really that worried because i already withdrawn all the money in my account during my last withdrawal. What just bothered me is the thought of going to the bank and repeat the process which i've been through just last month when i lost my ATM card. Yeah right, the one that got lost is a replacement of the one that i lost just a month or two ago . But everything's been taken cared of already, in fact just came back from the bank, fill up some papers. I've withdrawn all the money over the counter. Next week i'll go back to the bank to get my new ATM card. So no worries!

good thing, it was only the card that was eaten by the machine, and not all your money in the bank. just wait for the machine pooh so you can get back your card.

That's the worst to happen. ATM cards eaten by the machine. Especially if the ATM machine belongs to another bank. It would take a few days for you to get it back. I hope you got it already.

Well that's some good news. It appears the only inconvenience you suffered was the time to replace it. However, wondering if someone out there has your card could be a worry. I hope not. Mike.

Yes it really got me worried the moment i realized that i lost my ATM card. Although i'm confident that the card only contain 50 Pesos which is not much. But just the thought of the inconvenience of going to the bank to process for a new replacement is really a hassle. I'm glad it's done.

Well, you can try to withdraw your money over the counter and just tell them that you're still waiting for your replaced card and you need the money. They won't charge you for that. Or atleast I think they won't. Hehehe. Cheer up, you won't have to wait that long for the replaced card right?

I did that already as a matter of fact i was able to withdraw my salary over the counter and filled up the necessary papers for the replacement card. I did all that in just about 30 to 40 minutes. I was given 5 days for me to comeback and collect my new ATM card. So everything's been taken cared of.

It's definitely a hassle since i have to go to the bank personally to get a new replacement. Good thing is i was informed that i can get a new card if there's any available and i just have to pay for an affidavit. So i can all get it done within the day. But just the thought of falling in line and having to face the same teller whom i've transacted business with a month ago is dreadful. You see, i just have that card replaced last month ( i lost it the other one too ) and my experience with the teller is not a nice one. I even posted my experience about that here in mylot. So i hope she's on leave or there's another teller available .

We don't realize how much we rely on our ATM cards until we lose them. Good luck, ybong.

Hello dear, Its an incredibly sad news for me. I know how you feel about it. Did you report to the police about it? I think you have already asked your bank to put some restriction on any transaction in your account. I think in these cases there is a high possibility of being financially abused. If you inform your bank immediately they are gonna temporarily suspend your account and keep it that way until you get a new card. God bless you

Everything has been taken care of. I called up customer service to report the loss as soon as i found out about it. I was also give instructions on how to get a new replacement. It just took me around 30 to 45 minutes to finish everything, including the withdrawal of my entire salary. I don't usually leave any money in that ATM card account since it's a payroll account, so i'm pretty confident that who ever finds it will not get anything from it. So what i'll do now is just wait for 1 week so can get my new ATM card from the bank.

It think you have to remember where you put your ATM card. Maybe you got memory gap and replace it if you can't find it.

I've also withdrawn my salary. I'll be back next week to get my ATM card so everything is fine now. It just took me around 30 to 45 minutes.
