Ok so I know that we're graded by quality as well as quantity. So does this also mean that grammar counts as a factor? Meaning that we have to avoid internet lingo and stuff like that. Can someone please clarify this for me? Also I wanted to know if there was a link to a set of guidelines or something that would point me in the right direction to getting the most out of mylot. Thanks

Grammar and spelling don't count. There are a lot of people on here (and I mean A LOT) whose first language is not English. And that's not against the rules. Some people are using myLot to help improve their English. You don't get penalized for incorrect grammar but it helps readers understand if you can write properly. I have found some posts too difficult to understand. Welcome and have fun!

Internet lingo and text style is not English and therefore not considered as quality. The use of it probably earns nothing.

Hello, Eponce and welcome to MyLot. You've made a great start, because, unlike some newcomers, you're not asking 'how do I earn money here?' but 'how do I get the most out of MyLot?' There's a big difference. I'd say spend a little time responding to discussions, so you see the diffenrence between quality, well managed discussions, and those that are churned out like sausages in the hope of making money. (They don't, by the way. You earn for what you type yourself, which is why it needs to be good quality.) Build up a list of friends, so that you can interact and have fun on discussions. I see Mysdianait and Lamb have already come in with offers of help. These two are definitely worth sending friends requests to, because they are well established and respected members who spend a lot of time helping new members to enjoy their MyLot experience. If they tell you something, you can be sure it's right, but they're great fun, as well as being founts of all knowledge on here. Carry on as you are, commenting on your responses and enjoying your posts and you will soon feel at home here.

Thank you for the warm welcome. It's nice to see that Mylot is full of people who are willing to help. I don't think that's something that you find just anywhere on the internet
