Hurrray Cricket has been considered to be part of the Olympics---I just heard of it though------it seems Cricket would be introduced in the 2020 Olympics onwards---it would be a great event to watch on and a great news for all cricket fans around the world. Would it affect the World cup being conducted by ICC every four years----i dont think so T20 matches would be enjoyable compared to a one day format in the olympics----i think they must have given a green for the former format of the game which is short and keeps all of us on toes.

yes man, i saw the news too..its very very exciting..Cricket deserves to be in Olympics, the only downside is that we have to wait TEN more years to see it getting played on Olympics..that's too long, isnt it?? I think Twenty20 is the selected format for Olympics..Its more enjoyable than One days but the players dont have the quality of ODI or Test players..all are pinch hitters..

hi hirumon---its an good move to make some room for the cricket in the olympics but the sad part is we gotto wait another ten years to enjoy it.Atleast cricket made it to the olympics right lets be happy of it T-20 would be the format coz one dayers take too much of the time and it would be worse when its a draw---and test matches---no way for them lol. Thank you for responding.great day.

You all can think as much as you want. The only real cricket player that ever walked this earth was Hansie Cronje. Since that i have never watched cricket again. Answer enough for you. TATA.

yea... i strongly feels so.. i am a hardcore fan of cricket. one of the most enjoyable form of sport like the cricket should be included in Olympics.as sunnycool mentioned , T 20 would be an enjoyable version of cricket considering the fact that others form would take more days to finish. even i heard the discussion in some site abt cricket being a part of olympics. hopefully it would get the green singal..

hi stardust---you dont consider T20 to be a good format of cricket its the popular one right one short and effective---infact people have lost interest in the test matches coz of its duration---so they came up with a night test match---lets see if it can grab peoples attention or not. Thank you for responding.great day.

Well I hope this happens so that I can enjoy more cricket. But this doesn't seem possible to me. Due to the long duration of a cricket match, if it is introduced in Olympics, it will consume more attraction and other games will be affected. And one should be aware that after every four years the cricket world cup is organised. However, cricket can be accepted in Olympics if its shorter version is there. So it is very much possible T20 cricket can be introduced in Olympics.

I just heard this news from Television and yes, this is a great news for Cricket fans all around the world. I don't think this will affect the world cup because, after the world cup in 2011, the next time it will happen is 2015, and then 2019 leaving the year 2020 unaffected. Would be glad to see some of the current players around that time. But not sure on whether they will last that long

oww yeahhhh it would be an free year for sure---Wrold cup would be in 2019 right---coming to the players we dont get to see many infact our young indian players would become senior ones lol---imagine dhoni, yuvraj watching it from the pavilion---by that time we get a new team for sure and sachin would be coaching a team. And by the way what is he doing in here-----he belongs to the WWE right---i never liked his attitude though Thank you for responding.great day.

Cricket is a fantastic sport enjoyed by millions of people around the world. It has a long history and deep traditions. On that basis of course it deserves to be an Olympic sport. The real question is which version of the game should be included? I enjoy watching 20-20 Cricket, but I think a longer version of the game, such as the standard 1-day format would be a better choice.

Wow, I had not heard of this before. What a great idea. Australia need more opportunities to win medals as we do not win many, but we do pretty good for the small population that we have. Aussies would be gold medal favourites for sure! I remember that they did introduce cricket as an exhibition sport at the Commonwealth Games a few years ago, but then it was not included at the next games. It makes more sense to me for cricket to be included in Commonwealth Games before the Olympics.

A really great news.. I have been hearing this since yesterday but I thought it was just a rumor and i did not believe it! The last time cricket was ever played in Olympics was in 1900 between France and Britain in which Britain won!

Well yeah, I also heard about this news today. "Cricket in Olympics", I said: Hmmm.... interesting.... I have kinda missed Cricket in past Olympics. Always felt that cricket should be there. And on top of that it is T20 which is most interesting format of Cricket today. I look forward to T20 Cricket in 2020 Olympics. :D But what I fear is that it may steal the spotlight from other sports in Olympics. Coz Cricket is the sport which has largest audience I think.
