hello and TGIF!
each time we have a party here at home, the food is overflowing. there was even a few times specially during christmas and new year holidays when the two fridges were full packed and took us quite a time to finish them all even we gave them away to friends or invited them to come over.
i ahve read some health tips about meat and vegetables and other kinds of food that need to be consumed at once or twice and the like. but i can't help thinking about putting them to waste.
so, have you ever recycled left over food to come up with a new one? or do you have the habit of recycling them so they won't be wasted?
you can share any recycling food beliefs, fact, myths, experience, etc.
thanks and i'll be waiting.

Rule of thumb is left over food should be consumed within 2 days. After that it should be thrown away as bacteria would stick to the foods even they're in the fridge. If left over foods can be frozen then that's better. I sometimes make fried rice out of leftover steam rice but that's all.

Yes I am in the habit of recycling excess food because many people can't eat 3x a day and I felt it is a sin to throw away food.

Not my habit but i did that sooooo many times already, and I don't have any plans of putting an end to that either . It's difficult to just throw the food away. I remember people who don't have anything to eat. However, it's really easier said than done because i threw food away couple of times too . Recycling food is a good idea, is it not?

I will have a left over night where we eat whatever is in the fridge. Usually Thursday night is left over night because I have a late night class and when I get home I am so exhausted. My husband is not much of a cook so it is easier to have him heat things up. Make sure that if a recipes uses meat it will last more than two days.

Hi! I have never recycled food, because in my country there is something like a tradition, that nobody should throw his food away or something else with it, just can eat it or save it for the next day. Many people also feet their animals with the food they eat, if they won't to eat it again if there is some rest
