Hi myLotters,
anyone hear or know anything about a recall on the Honda Fit Sport?
If you do please respond...I have one, an 07 and just last week a mechanic changing my oil retrieved an on-line report about it catching fire because of some electrical whatever that controls the door locks.
I called Honda and was given another # to call, I did and was asked for my VIN # and was told that my car had no recall...end of conversation...in the meantime, I am sufferring from stress about this and I really don't even want the car anymore
:-(...am I being paranoid? I wish I could post the pic here for you to see the car on fire!!
All replys are gratefully accepted and appreciated.
Thanks myLotters!

Hey Mom,
Was trying to find you a picture of it via the internet but there are none of the car on fire available like the one John printed out.
I did however find this article that explains the problem in detail and thought you might find it interesting.
NOT A REFFERAL LINK:
http://www.thecarconnection.com/marty-blog/1042115_honda-fit-fire-recall-646000-cars-globally-140000-in-u-s
On this site they explain how the recall is due to a faulty master switch that could allow water to enter the power window switch, potentially causing a fire. It also goes on to say that out of the 646,000 only 140,000 are to be recalled in America- not that that should make you feel any better about it...but we can look further into it if you would like.
