There are lot of food stalls in supermarkets or small stores in mall lobbies. There are a lot of choices for food and drinks there. And a lot others, too.
When you feel you are getting so thirsty, do you buy fresh fruit drinks to satisfy your thirst? What do you usually have?

Hi Uchihaseymour,
Hahahaha, sorry for the reminder -- that got you thirsty all of a sudden.
Cold drinks for me, be it soda or just plain water. It is so hot now outside and has been for days already. We predict very hot months ahead and it has been tagged as "El Nino" phenomenon ... drought! It is not good for people and more for plants and animals. There have been cloud seeding done and other ways to augment water supply.

If we are talking about a choice between a soda and fruit juice, then the fruit juice is far more effective at combating thirst. However, if you are truly thirsty, then it doesn't matter what decision you make as to what to drink, if you don't choose water then nothing is really going to be truly effective in the combat involving thirst. Water is always the best choice that you can make, but if that is not a possibility, then juice is a far better choice than any other drink.

Hi Dorannmwin,
Fruit juices give us far more benefits than soft drinks. If I have either of them, I still crave for water. This is because I still feel thirsty moments after I drink juices and soda. Water is the best for all thirst-quenchers. And, it is almost always, free.

I don't do juices, especially juice drinks, wh ich are usually only 10% fruit juice. I'd rather have the whole fruit.

Hi Bellis716,
It is a good thing to eat the whole fruit rather than the juice only. And it is good that the whole fruit satisfies your thirst. Having the whole fruit gives one more benefits, I'm sure. These fresh fruit drinks that are sold have all added ingredients, sugar most especially. And, these fruit drinks are a bit expensive.

Hi! I love fresh fruit drinks. They sure quench my thirst and it is packed with lots of vitamins. I prefer drinking fresh fruit drinks than of sodas which are packed with high calories and they are unhealthy too. I'm not saying I don't drink sodas but as much as possible I would prefer fresh fruit juice drinks when it is available. I usually have pine orange or watermelon slush. Happy mylotting!

Hi Sachii315,
These fresh fruit juices are a lot better than softdrinks. But sometimes they just come with too much sugar in them. When I buy fruit juices at times, I usually instruct them to prepare with lesser sugar. This I do because of my slightly-raised blood sugar level.
I learned to love watermelon slush because this is what my daughter usually buys when we sit down for lunch in the little corner of the grocery store after shopping. It really quenches my thirst especially if it is cold. But, generally, it is water that does the work best for me.

Hi Babycohxviii,
That is why it is called fresh fruit drinks. We know they are fresh because we watch it when they prepare the drink for you. Well, I know not "fresh" as in you have them directly picked from the orchards. They have been there in the stalls recently (I guess 2 days the most) and as long as these do not become rotten. They who prepare the drinks know that the longer they keep the fruits, the less juice they can extract from it. It may not come out good to extract juices from slightly rotten fruits ... it would surely be bad for their business.

Hi Tarapot,
Welcome to myLot!
Fruits (as well as their juice) are surely good for health. We were told even in our young school days that we need to eat fruits and vegetables everyday. The more health benefits there are if they are fresh. Some fruits (and juices, too) and vegetables are now canned and there are already additives. These fresh fruit juices are surely more beneficial than softdrinks. Thanks for sharing!

Usually those fresh fruit drinks at malls are really expensive. I have bought them before but not all the time as they are too expensive. Usually at a mall I would just get a diet cola if I was thirsty, but I am trying to be more healthy now and I am trying not to drink diet soda any more except on special occasions. Now if I were at the mall and got thirsty I would likely get an ice tea or a flavored water if I could find one.

Hi Ladym33,
Compared to softdrinks, these fresh fruit drinks are more expensive. Fresh fruit shakes, too. Whenever I am with my children, they prohibit me from drinking softdrinks because of the rise in my blood sugar level. I usually get cold bottled mineral water when I am with them. I only get to drink it when there is someone treating us co-workers for lunch during birthdays.

Hi, moneymakingtoday. I usually will buy me something that is thin and cool to drink. I like to buy drinks that are fruity and strong in flavor. During the summers I usually will have drinks that have fresh fruit in it. I love going to Sonic to get these type of drinks. I love their famous slushes.

Hi Cream97,
MMT will do to shorten the name.
These cold drinks are so right for summer. Although we are not yet in the hot months, we are now starting to experience it. It has been reported that it is a long drought again and we are soon to experience dry months without the rain for long.
During this time, it is good to have fresh fruit drinks and other cold drinks. My daughter usually chooses fresh fruit slush over softdrinks. She just loves their watermelon slush.

Hi Jahernandezrivas,
I sometimes notice that, too. Most of the softdrinks that you order in glasses are flat. They put so much ice on it. I guess they get it from dispensers. I love to drink Coke and other softdrinks but I had to stop now (sometimes I sneak when my children aren't loocking) because of the rise of my blood sugar level.
Try those softdrinks in cans. They taste good and they are really cold.

Hi Fulltank,
Good for you. But that's true. Anything to quench the thirst is a good thing. I prefer to have cold bottled water or cold water from the dispenser when I am at home or in the office. I am refraining from softdrinks and other sweetened drinks because of high level of blood sugar.

Hi Warvial,
These fresh fruit drinks are a bit expensive, I agree. But I see people lining up in these stalls in the mall. It is always brisk business for the owners. My daughter always has watermelon slush whenever we eat in the little corner where we shop for groceries. She just loves it.

Hi Dreamnishu,
It is usually in hot summer months that we need more liquid for our body. It refreshes us as it quenches our thirst. My daughter always has a water container inside her bag. She likes to drink water when she needs it.
We get more benefits from fresh fruit juices rather than the canned ones.

For my thirst, I still wanna go clear! So it's mineral water for me. Those fresh fruit shakes found in malls only make me more thirsty. But I admit that if I'm short of money and I'm hungry while window shopping, I go for it to fill in my hungry stomach and drying throat.

Hi Junrapmian,
Water tops it all. Fresh fruit shakes or drinks are delicious and are very good to take when you are thirsty. But I still crave for water afterward. It must be because of the sweet after-taste in my mouth or it just does not do justice to my thirst at all.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi! yes, they really satisfied my thirst, because they are very tasty and nice to drink, but I don't drink some very often because they are a little bit more expensive then the carbonated drink and the bottled water, and right now I don't have some surplus money for fresh fruit drinks, because I save money for my study

Hi Phoenix8606,
That is a wise move. Saving for one's education surely is! Good for you then.
These fresh fruit drinks are a bit expensive. For me, water is the best thirst-quenching liquid to take.

Hi Maria,
Fresh fruit drinks/shakes/juices can satisfy our thirst especially when they are cold. There are a lot of fruits available. You just have to choose one or two of the fruits together.
You are right. They may quench your thirst but you easily get thirsty again because of the sweetness of the drinks. You come looking for water afterward.

Hi friend, whenever I am thirsty, fruit drinks or juices do not come into my mind. They are but a companion to my daily meals. I always buy myself a can of ice cold Coke. I think Coke's the best thirst quencher in the world.

Hi Myzire72,
You are a Coke lover! It quenches our thirst, too especially if it is very cold. I have always been a Coke lover, too. Lately, however, I have stopped from drinking any softdrinks because of health reasons. My blood sugar level rose up and I had to refrain from sweets. There is nothing better than drinking water. It has its many healthful benefits.

No. Fresh fruit drinks do not satisfy because as soon as I taste how delicious they are I want more. I don't want to stop drinking. I don't even know if my thirst is satisfied.
