Can any body use the same avatar of other mylot friend?

hi mylot friend, Today i received a new friendship request,after approving it,i have open the friends tab then i found that there two of my friends are using the same avatar,in today's discussion also i have expressed the same to that new friend that the avatar is familiar to me,now confirmed that both of them have the same avatar,i do not know is it correct or not?

I am not confirm that two user can use same avatar or not. I think it can be used. But it can only be confirmed by our admin Alice. But same avatar by different user will be very confusing.

That means the avatar you posted here can be used by saver user. That to know about that.

hi aaleexix, thanks for the response,regarding confusion of both the avatars,when i have seen the avatar while giving response to the comment,i have informed her also that the avatar is familiar to me,when i open the list of friends then i have find both avatars in the same list,have a nice day

Different user with same avatar is very confusing. And if the there is any similarity then it is more confusing. But lamb has clarified that same avatar and similar user name is violation.

Yeah, actually you can. Mylot doesn't rule out the possibility of someone using your avatar for his/her own, you see you have not copyrighted your avatar photo (neither of us did) therefore, anyone could just use it for themselves. I did see it here in mylot, there were two people using the same avatar, though no harm done because they had no idea that the avatar was already taken. As for identity theft, mylot identities are really vulnerable because anybody could just copy your everything and add a number or some letter to your name and impersonate you as you are in mylot. The job of the admin is to make sure that these trouble-makers are taken out of the community.

Hmm... Tough call. If I were approached that way, I would think "Why should I change if I found and used the avatar first?" right? I think it's best to just leave it be and find something more interesting for your avatar. Nobody owns these avatars unless you took the photo yourself - always remember that.

hi laydee, thanks for the response,i have found that the same avatar was taken by two of my mylot friends,i have send a personal message to her,that the avatar was already using by some other member,so i have asked her to select new avatar,but no reply to my message and no change of avatar,what to do,have a nice day

Hi, yugasini? Are they using your avatar? If so, that is kind of tricky.. I would think that it is not acceptable at myLot, but I can never be too sure about that... Maybe someone can tell you if this is wrong or not. I hope that you get the answer that you need.

hi cream, thanks for the response,they have not used my avatar,both of them are in my friends list,how can i report about them to the mylot administration,it is cheating of friendship,so i am not reporting this to mylot,i will ask that friend to change her avatar,have a nice day

hiii yugasini well i guess its oky to have the same avatar but not really hahaaha !! coz how they would become special by using others avatar ?!! its good to choose something different !! perhaps coz we are in somewhere called forum !! so must have varieties so, its easy issue and it depends on the person himself or herself and ya I'm now in a holiday and I don't get here to much coz I'm busy , I was busy in baby sitting my little nephew coz his mom has exams you never imagine that kid made feel sick , and now I'm busy preparing 4 my sister's wedding

Well, i don,t know if it was done on purpose. If it is going to be a peoblem, ask them nicely to change theirs. It was yours in the first place after all. Good Luck. TATA.

hi saphrina, thanks for the response,i have posted the private message now itself to change the avatar of her,because she select the avatar very recently,i wish to continue the same avatar of old friend,because she was senior than her in mylot i think,have a nice day

I think if anyone has to ask her to change the avatar that should be the admin, we have no right in asking someone to change the avatar just because we want them to. She did not copy the avatar from anyone here, she uses that picture on msn, squidoo and other forums. But like I said all it's up to the admin, I can't see why so much confusion about a picture, I have seen lots of people with the same avatar, why pick on someone just because she is new here. Just remove her from your friends list and your confusion will end. She is not hurting anyone. Live & Let Live.
