I was checking my paypal account yesterday and found out Squidoo had send me 7 dollars. I wasn't aware of the reason so I checked the stats page and it said this.
YOUR ROYALTIES (12/01/2009 to 12/31/2009)
Your previous balance + Refer-A-Friend bonuses = $3.56
Your new lens earnings this period = $3.44
Total earnings = $7.01!
How did I make this money? Please tell me!

Wow $7, thats good for squidoo but I did not know squidoo paid less than $10. You do understand how squidoo pays its members right? Any traffic your lens gets and your referrals, they pay you. Thats some lens you must have.

If you set the payment threshold right, you can get paid less than $10. The minimum is $1. This was not one of my best months, but I did better than I had thought I did. The weirdest part is I actually got paid exactly $25 which don't happen to often. The more lenses you have though, the more potential of making more if they actually rank well.
If you write on things that really interest you, you'll keep making money there.

I get about $2.00 a month from Squidoo and I haven't been active on the site for months. I mainly get it from people I referred that're still active, plus some sales I get every month. It's really not much though considering how active some of the people are under me, plus how much i sell of some specific niche' products.

This happens to me regularly. I know about the page views and so far, I have not had any referral earnings, but a little via Amazon.com of things I have listed in my lens. I have not figured out how it all works as what it shows on the status page is not what I end up receiving, altho all that really shows is affiliate income.. not page views. My cupcake lens is 'up there' and I have not had time to work much on anything lately, but hope to get back to it. But it sure is nice to get that little extra each month! Same thing on Associated Content. Altho now, AC has changed their account page and we can't see how many page views we get monthly. It shows "life long" figures and I hate that. I know what I have made int eh past, I want to know what I can look forward to in the present! But keep it up with Squidoo... every little bit helps!

"Refer-A-Friend bonuses" = This means you get paid for having led others (your friends) to sign up and become a member on this website via your link reff.
"Your new lens earnings this period" = I don't know this website. But certainly, this income you earn from their program.

I have had a few of these surprises from Squidoo, but nothing like $7. You must have written a red hot article to get those kind of royalties. My advice: do more, you might double it next time!
