drivers licenses

Okey well i got my licenses about a month after i turned 18 and it says restriction 1 can someone tell me what this means? do i have restrictions i need to fallow or is it a group type thing just saying what group of restriction i am in

I think it will depend very much on where you got your license.
In the UK there are levels of license ,there are provisional licenses which just allow you to learn to drive accompanied by a regular driver or teacher . Then once you pass your test there are certain cars you can drive for example if you pass in a manual car(stick shift) you can drive an automatic car too or you could when I took my test ) but if you pass in an automatic car,you cant drive a manual car unless you take a test for it and pass.
Then there are motorcycle rules if you pass the motorcycle test that restrict the size of engine you can ride.
Then there are classes of vehicle for example I can drive a small van or a medium van but not a lorry or a bus.
I think wherever you have learned to drive,there must be a guidance website where you can look up the meanings of the rules on your license.
