I am a special education teacher, I work with special education children everyday. For some people they are not worthy of our time and should be banished to a closet or other non threatening area. For me they are God's children too. They have emotions and all things so called normal children have. We so called normal people cant be the judges on who lives and dies. But for the grace of God we are glad we are healthy.

I thought I was before I had John. We didn't know he would have problems but in all honesty I might have, though now that god gave me this special boy there is no way I would ever let him go. He's my little buddy.

I don't agree with abortion. Special needs and disabled children are worthy of life. I know a little boy that is severely mentally and physically disabled. His mother went into premature labor and the little boy was born in the back of an ambulance. My toddler son is disabled. He is a lovely little boy. He can't walk even though he is three years old. He needs catheter care. I was offered an abortion when I was 36 weeks pregnant with him. I had said no way. It is challenging to know how baby affected a baby will be when born. Therefore a mother to be should hope for the best. She should let her thought to be mentally retarded baby be born.
