If you were a celebrity

OK, let's just say that you took a picture of yourself and compared it to a bunch of pictures of celebrities, which celebrity would you most look like? Do you think other people would agree with your choice? And would you want to be that person, do you think you have traits in common? Or is the resemblance purely physical?

I'll have to say I look like no one - not in this culture anyway! Surely there must be a celebrity in Japan or China or Korea (you get the picture) that resembles moi! However, when I was on the ice, SOOOOO many people thought I was Kristi Yamaguchi . . . so much that they've followed me around and asked for autographs - I am so not kidding! At Pacific Coast sectionals just before Rudi Galindo won nationals, my friend swears up and down that Rudi thought I was Kristi in the small audience (because I wore a hat - and I didn't know Kristi wore hats all the time - but hey, so did I). Even a judge came up to me and said it was nice that I came (I was so dumbfounded . . . I couldn't believe it - did she actually think I was Kristi??????????????????????). And other times I've been mistaken for Michelle Kwan (I look absolutely nothing like here) and Yuka Sato (maybe we have the same body type). Do all Asians look alike?

Let's see, do all Asians look alike? Yeah, Michelle Kwan and her sister look like twins. NOT... Darn it and I was going to PM you and say "Dear Kristi - could I have your autograph for my daughter?"

That's totally true - Michelle and Karen look nothing alike (not even their skating)! Hee hee! Maybe from afar I look like Kristi (though I skate nothing like her) . . . I can still send you an autograph . . . I'm good at forging - ha ha!

I have a friend over on Yuwie who does a celebrity look alike contest. I think I ended up being Amy Poehler... I think I'd rather be Connie Selleca. Oh well...

Ehh, I have tried my photograph with each celebrities and to tell you the truth, I have found out that all the celebs are less attractive to I. It means that I am more attractive than them. Talk about Mr. Cruise, Mr. Arnold etc.. they all are little less to I?!

I am not a movie-goer or up with modern pop culture, so any resemblance to celebrities I know of would have to be ones from way back. As a child, having VERY bright auburn hair, I used to WISH I was like Arlene Dahl or Maureen O'Hara but I knew I was an ugly freak. As an adult I have often been told I look like Queen Elizabeth but in personality we bear no resemblance and I definitely would NOT like her job.

I could handle some of her wardrobe. She had some really nice suits. But she can keep her hats!

the only actress I have ever looked remotely like is Katie Saylor http://www.johnkennethmuir.com/JohnKennethMuirsRetroTVFile_FantasticJourney.html There's some closer face shots in this youtube clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26W2k7GU6n0 kind of a kinky looking movie, but since it was made in 1974, its not as nasty as it would be now! no, I don't look like this anymore!

few people do, I remember her because it was startling how much we looked alike then - I'm sure she's much older looking -after all, she'd be in her 50's now too

Well my friend Kris from Yuwie did a celebrity contest on me once and everyone picked Janis Joplin, and physically I agree with it. I don't know that much about her except that she had alot of passion as you can well tell in her music and I am passionate about many things.

It's a blend of Jean Claude Vandame, Silvester Stallone, Sean Connery! Now that isn't really flattering since I'm a girl! Just kidding. Well, there's a local actress here in our country which other people would testify (I didn't force them to ) that we bear a certain resemblance except that she is far sexier, and prettier than I am, of course. Yeah, I'm kinda flattered but I shouldn't let it go to my head. I think the similarity is more on the facial features alone. As to the personality, I've no idea.

Hmmm. I don't think I look like any hollywood celebrities, but a lot of people have said that I look like one of the local personalities here in our country. hehehe. I don't really see the similarities, but a lot of people have said it on random occassions that I'm beginning to think that maybe it is true. hehehe. An oh, for those filipinos out there, the celebrity I'm talking about is Dimples Romana.

When I was in high school someone told me that I look like Avril Lavigne and some of my friends told me that I look like Eliza Dushku and I was flattered by that. Then I played this game online to see which celebrity I look like the same and the result was Jessica Alba. Then my brother and sister started picking on me. LOL I don't know, but I guess when someone told me about that, I can't help thinking, do I really look like Eliza Dushku? or avril? How about Jessica Alba? It's driving me nuts thinking about that. But I would say, perhaps I look more like Eliza Dushku, like the other celebrities that they said we have in common, I can say the personality is that kinda cool and have a nice get-up or fashion. I don't know, maybe I'm just dreaming. LOL

In my psychology class only last year a girl came over to me and said I reminded her of Owen Wilson, well I wasn't familiar with the actor until I found out he starred in Night at the Museum, the blond guy, that was when I had my blond highlights in, I didn't know if it was a compliment or a criticism, but I actually put a discussion up about it and the general concensus was that it was a compliment to be compared with Owen Wilson, now I haven't got the blond hair and a different hair cut I probably look nothing like him. I would love to look like Leonardo Di Caprio if I had a choice because he is very attractive and popular and cute too well for a guy anyhow.

Phyllis Diller - The one and only Phyllis Diller!
I had bottle blonde hair for three years of my life and a few people told me I looked like Goldie Hawn which was a lovely compliment at the time and I accepted it although I never did see the resemblance really. These days my hair is much longer and dark and because age has taken over I have no idea who I look like, I hope it’s not Phyllis Diller! Wouldn't mind her sense of humour though...
