Salsas

When you go to out to eat depending on where you go they might put a bowl of salsa on your table and you find it is so good. Then do you try to figure out what is it they put in it? And can I make this at home? Or do you think to yourself maybe thay have this in the store? Do you try to go home and make it yourself or just try to find it in the store and can never get it just right?

They have a very good mexican restaurant here where I live.I love their salsa.I have tried to make it but cant get it just the same.They do not make anything like it that I have found in the store. So I guess it just makes it better when I go out to eat there.

Where do you live? I live in Texas and there are a lot of good Mexican restaraunts here too! I like the one at home L.O.L. My husband is from Mexico and he will cook sometimes for me and I LOVE IT!!!! It is better than some of the restaraunts here! I feel like I am in one when I am at home and he cooks a big Mexican meal. Yummy!!!!

I live in Kentucky. There are a few mexican restaurants here but I have only found 2 of them that I like. The one I like so much has some really nice mexican people that own and run it.I bet there are lots of good mexican restaurants in Texas! Yay for you,I wish I had a personnal mexican chef.

I spend 5 months in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas each winter. When I first came down here I began to enjoy the fresh salsa that I found on the tables in local restaurants. I soon found that this salsa could not be found in stores because it was made from raw ingredients which could not be preserved in the raw state.I have tried to find a recipe for this raw salsa, but so far have come up empty. I think its a secret recipe that only the restaurants have.

I think so too!!!! I am in Texas. I wish I could go to Mexico soon in time I will and I am sure I will find some real good hot salsa there!

No I just buy the one in the store. When I have gone to Chili's Restaurant though I have brought home a container of the salsa along with a bag of chips. Mainly because once I have started to eat their salsa and chips I can't stop. However, I usually just buy at the store and not try to make it because its just not going to come out the same.

I love Chili's and their salsa too!!! Every time I try to make salsa at home it never comes out right for me either.
