Did you get a chance to watch the Vancouver 2010 Olympics Opening Ceremonies? What did you think of them? What did you like about them? And what did you dislike about them?

Oh yes I did get to watch the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics here in Vancouver, British Columbia. Regardless of the fifth cauldron not opening, as well as the tragic accident earlier in the day, the show was absolutely spectacular and am proud to be a Canadian.
I am tickled pink that the Olympics decided to honor our native Canadians. I thoroughly enjoyed their part of the presentation. This means a lot to them and a job very well done!
I really enjoyed K.D. Lang performing hallelujah. She did a fantastic job!
The poem entitles "We Are More", recited by Canadian slam poet Shane Koyczan, about what it means to be Canadian was well done and rather touching!
I was surprised to see Ann Murray in the team carrying the Olympic flag.
I was honored to be a part of the Minute of Silence observed for Nodar Kumaritashvili.
What I didn't like about the ceremonies was Measha Brueggergosman singing the Olympic anthem. It hurt my ears and was Sarah McLachlan lip syncing her song "Ordinary Miracle"?

Yes, I did get a chance to watch the Olympic Opening Ceremonies. My husband and I decided to watch it. To be honest, I thought it was really amazing. It was really well done. Everything was well done. The lighting, the set design, the choreography, the music, and everything was amazing. I really enjoyed watching it. I'm glad that we decided to watch it.

The Olympic opening ceremonies were very nice. Vancouver did a very good job and it was great to see Wayne Gretzky the last one to end up with the torch. Very good job done and can't wait for the games to start.

I like the snowboarder flying through the Olympic rings to start off the ceremonies. Although he hesitated a bit, it was great continuity from the movie shown, to coming into the stadium. What I didn't like was one of the columns not rising up. That was the only glitch to an otherwise perfect ceremony. Even the rain did not dampen the spirit of the people running in the city to see Gretzky light up the outdoor cauldron.

I'm watching them right now, haven't seen all but then I normally never do. The dancers are good, but the cornfields waving on the ground and moon and all of that just annoys me. As usual. I still wonders why they had that stupid egg at Lillehammer :-)
I wish they had told everyone to turn of their cameras flashes, 'cause all the flashing is very annoying. And I'm sure it doesn't help much, they'd get better pictures without them.
