Can't help listening to this new version :) Love the rap part of We Are The World 25.. Most twitter users are commenting they don't like the rap part but I think it actually added appeal on the video. Love the first part too when a young boy dances on top of the rubble.. that part actually made me cry :,( What I don't like was the auto tunes and the screaming part by (sorry I don't know who that artist is) you can watch the video on my profile anyway ;) So do you think the Haiti version is good than the original version? I like the original version too, but I love the new version more. What do you think?

I like it. I remember when my brother and I use to sing the original version of this song. My brother wears a headphone then sing and act like Stevie Wonder. And I'm very glad they made a new version of it after 25 years. Before it was for Africa, now for Haiti. I like the original version. But there are some parts in the version that I like. When Janet Jackson sings together with Michael Jackson's voice, and the part where they included Michael to sing, (even if he's already in heaven.) I'm very proud that they have apl.de.ap of the black-eyed peas. Of course, he's a Filipino like us! I also like that rap part.

I've heard about it, but have no interest in seeing it. I get so tired of these celebrity singers all getting together to make themselves look like the saviours of the world... and it is always for another country. Did they do this when Katrina wiped out Lousiana and Houston? Did they do it when Ike wiped out the mid west all the way up to Ohio and now has a price tag of repair of $10 million dollars and people are homeless and lost loved ones? Not to mention the economy being bad all over and now for these areas, it is destitute. No, I have no interest in helping these selfrighteous celebrities pat themselves on the back, when they won't even help the people that made them what they are today.

The new version never should have been thought up, much less recorded. That's all there is to it. There is no place for rap or screaming or anything else like that in "We Are The World," and it infuriates me to no end that this song was butchered like it was by these new "musicians".

Lil' Wayne and T-Pain provide the auto-tuned parts! I actually liked the auo-tuned bits (it's actually almost ALL auto-tuned, but some are more obvious about i). I agree that the rap part is quite well done. I don't think it's a better or worse thing; it's just a different version.

hi friend! I even didn't knew that there is such a song. Is it like the "we are the world" of Michael Jackson and friends? I must search for it and listen it, but I don't think it will that good as the original from 1985. As i understand it is for the Haiti earthquake and it is also with a good cause, so that's why I will listen to it

I have not seen it, and probably won't - but I'd bet those screaming are old fogies like me, who don't like to see our "classic" stuff redone... (I'll say it so you don't get in trouble for calling us fogies)

I feel the oposite of you. I liked the version from 25 years ago better. With this one I think it was because there were just to many people singing at one time compared to 25 years ago. I think I was expecting more and ended up being quite disappointed.

I like it, but I won't say it's better than the original. They're incomparable, because they both were for a good cause, and the various artists did so well. I love that they did innovate in this new version and added some parts in rap. :)
