i think this year's oscars will be dominated by THE HURT LOCKER, an Iraq war thriller directed by james cameron's ex-wife katheryn bigelow. the movie has swept many awards so far. it has got the most number of nominations for this year's oscar awards along with james cameron's AVATAR. cameron himself has stated that THE HURT LOCKER will dominate ahead of his own AVATAR. so i'd recommend you to watch that movie. even i'm waiting for it.

Thanks Junil I am going to look for it. I went out yesterday and bought a 10 movies from a video store. I enjoyed the SPIDERWICKCHRONICLES, by nickelodeon. It was a kids movie but it was cute. I also bought 9 others that I thought would be good like AMERICAN PSYCHO, THE WAY OF WAR, ZODIAC, NECESSARY EVIL, MORTUARY, HANNIBAL RISING RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN. Heard any of these?

i've heard about AMERICAN PSYCHO and SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES, and the others, of course. but they are not recent movies like you wanted to know by posting this discussion. i was telling you only about the the latest releases only. THE HURT LOCKER will be the best of the latest.

The last movie I watched in the theater was Percy and the Lightning Thief. It was a story about demigod (half- human and half- god). Percy's mom is a human but his father is Poseidon the brother of Zeus. I am also planning to watch The Legion.

Oh yeah Lady! I want to see that. I love movies about the gods and things. I loved that movie THE CLASH OF THE TITANS. The whole Medusa, Zeus thing. Love it! Thanks for reminding me about this movie. I definitely have to see that! dl

I also love watching those types of movies. You might also want to watch The Legion if you have not watched it yet. The story is about the last Angel (Michael) who fell on earth. There was a plot to kill a child who will be born on the 25th of December. Demons would want to kill the child as it is prophesied that this child will be the hope of humanity.

I love Chinese movies. I just bought a few new ones. The only thing that bothers me is when you see their mouths move then a few seconds later you hear what it was. I hate subtitles. Trying to read and follow the action on the movie is a pain. Sometimes the movie is soooo good that none of that matters. Thanks for the recommendations dl

my friend told me that this year, RAPUNZEL will be released on cinemas! I can't wait to watch it since i love fairy tales. I don't know if it's going to be in animation or portrayed by real actors. If it's in animation then i'll just wait for it to appear on the disney channel ;P

I'd recommend 'The Master of Disguise' and 'Mystery Men' to anyone. Those are two HILARIOUS movies that I feel like almost know one has seen. Basically if you liked Austin Powers (and everyone loves Austin Powers!) then you'd love these movies. They're both action comedy and although are a little childish in the humor, are still funny for all ages.

I loved AUSTIN POWERS! I am proud to say that I am into that type of childish humor. Its funny. Most of our families act like that. Farting is usually funny to most. I am going to look out for them because I was always hoping that there would be more AUSTIN POWER scenarios. If these are like that then I am gonna put these two movies on absolutely have to see. Thanks again Brotha.dl

The last movie that I saw was Avatar and it was one of the best movies that I have ever seen. I don't think any movie that comes out in the near future will be able to beat that one. I heard Sherlock Holmes was pretty good as well but will wait til it comes out on dvd. Did you see Avatar in 3D? Percy Jackson and the Olympians looks like it will be a very good movie as well. Shutter Island might be another one to check out. I don't think the movie The A-Team will be very good. Just don't think you can make that movie without the original cast.

Avatar is the film I like to recommend. If you like love stories, you can go with Valentines Day and Dear John. Dear John is a drama and a love story, why do I like this film is because of Channing Tatum. This is the first time I see Channing doing a love story film. Other than that I haven't seen any other film about to be shown. How about Percy Jackson movie, I don't remember the title. If I see a film this week I will go back to your discussion and let you know.

I went out with a couple of my girlfriends to Extraordinary Measures on the day that it opened at the theater. All three of us thought that it was a wonderful movie and I would definitely recommend it to anyone that asked about a good movie to go see. It was a beautifully done movie if you enjoy dramas. The story was great for a movie and the way that it was made was absolutely perfect in my opinion. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD because I am definitely going to be buying it.

I saw Sherlock Holmes last month, and I thoroughly enjoyed it throughout It is a very enjoyable, very entertaining flick. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law play their roles fantastically and breathe new life into the Sherlock Holmes franchise. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire film, and was sad when it had to end

My husband and I watched "The Wedding Crashers" tonight. there was a show coming up on the same station right after that I really wanted to see, and when I saw Wedding Crashers on before it, he mentioned he'd wanted to see it for a while, so the two of us decided to watch it. It was a great movie. Really funny too.
