When someone tells me I can't do something. I look at them and tell them Bull Hooey. Any one in the world can do anything that someone else can do. If it can be done anyone can do it. I had this tech person tell me the other day I couldn't do something that I had already done.I have one router and have two computers hooked up to it. And one is usb the other is an ethiernet. This guy kept telling me it can't be done but I did it. I don't sit back and wait for someone to fix my problem I take a chance and do it myself. So when people tell you that it can't be done don't take their word for it. So do you fix it? Or do you think it can't be done? And leave it at that? Are you a go getter? Or does it worry you to try this or that? Me I am one that will try different things to see if it will work.

Hi free! No, i have never had someone, who always tell me that I am not able to do something, because all my friends, relatives and university colleagues know, that I am a very ambitious person, i mean, i am person with a great will, and they all know, that I never give up, no matter what happens and i always reach my goals in life, because I am from that kind of people, who know what they want and how can get it

Hi Phoenix. I have had several people tell me I didn't know what I was doing. It just made me determind to prove them wrong. I have seen their faces just lite up when they see that I don't give up. I am from the type of people that say if it can be done then we can do it.

Hi Phoenix. I love the look on their faces when they see that I can do what ever it was. I don't let fear near me or around my life. Fear has nothing I need. I have God on my side and that is all I need. Through Gods will I can do what ever needs to be done.

Yeah, there is nothing impossible, and I also like to see how their faces lite up when they see that there is nothing impossible for me

Hi Dilipmiester. That is why God gave us a mind so we wouldn't do something that might cause us to be hurt. That is something I think I would tell my assoiciates (friends etc) to go jump in a lake. You could be seriously hurt or maybe even killed doing something like that. I meant like building or making something, even using a computer. Please what ever you do be careful and don't try to catch the bus running. Your worst fear in life is fear itself. Order all evil (fear) away from you in Jesus name and back to where it came from. Don't ever live in fear of anything! Know you have the power in Jesus name to do what ever you have to do!

All the time. I believe it about as much as you do! Do I go ahead and do it? Well, my situation gives others more control over me than I'd like, so if it doesn't have terrible circumstances...hell yes I go ahead and do it anyway. Sometimes it takes some figuring...and sometimes I do it despite the circumstances but yeah.
I'm trying to get out of this situation and into a better one...But yeah. ^_^

Hi XParanoiax. That is the way my brothers and dad taught me to be. I am more like the male side of my family then the girl side. Although I do have some strong sisters too. I am a tomboy and love to do things that some men think I can't do. My husband gets shocked at me when he see's that I can do anything he can do. He was brought up that girls should be real prissy and not do things that guys can do. So when he speaks to his mother he brags to her about how good I take care of him. And how I am not lazy. His mother loves me and tells me every time I see her. She has seen me work and tells my husband that I am good for him. He treats me with respect. You can never let anything beat you at what you are trying to do.You sound like a cool person! Cool if you don't know is from the late 60's and it is a good thing. Have a nice day!

I remember experiencing some of that as a child and it wasn't very helpful. It's taken many years and lots of reading of self-help books to get me on an even keel as it were! I do now believe that there is no such word as can't or cannot! Anyone can do anything if they really put their mind to it. That's a good approach, to try something new that you have never done before and chances are you will very reasonably good at it. Even if this isn't the case then at least you tried! I believe in the idea of trying something now. I still have my moments of shyness and not doing something out of fear. I think that the power of belief is very important too! That's me in a nutshell! Hi Andrew. I like the way you think. At least if you try something then you can learn something new. You may not succeed the first time but I keep trying till I have it right. I don't let anyone tell me that I am not able to do something cause I am a woman. So what if it can be done anyone can do it. I never let fear hold me back. I have God on my side, fear had better be running in the other direction. Cause Gods power is with me. Don't be shy hun if that is your picture as your avatar your a nice looking young man. Not flirting just stating the facts.

I often find when someone tells me it can't be done, don't bother or wate your time it makes me all the more determined to prove them wrong. Not that I ignore people's advice but I often find to many people are so conditioned to one way of thinking and doing things a certain way that they just can't think outside of the box to see that something is possible.
To put it into perspective I have read a lot of advice over the last few years that certain niches for websites are so over crowded that it is impossible to break into them and compete with the big boys. Well to me that is a red rag to the bull and I am doing my upmost to prove all these people wrong often by thinking outside of the box to do it.
If I end up being wrong, what have I lost other than time. Nothing, in fact I will have gained by experience.

yes, many people would say that you can't do something, simply because they are envious of you. i mean, they tell you that you cannot do it because they want you to lose your self-confidence, but you should not listen to them. you know in your heart and in your soul that you are capable of the things you wanted to do in your life. not only in computer technologies but also among other things

Hi Jongskie and welcome to my lot. You are so right these people don't want anyone to be better then them. I just put up my hand and tell them they are talking to the hand, cause my mind is not listening. I don't like it when people think they are any better then someone else. I don't let anyone take my self confidence away.

When it comes to computers, I am afraid to do much. I am always afraid of totally messing it up. We do not have money to get another one, and I would be lost without it. Alot of things I will try though.

Hi Thoroughrob. I love messing around with computers. I want to learn all I can. I think it is a good field to be into. I seen these people put a hard dive into the first computer I ever had. After that I was courious and wanted to learn. That was in the early part of 2thousand. Since then I have only taken my computer to a specialist when I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Now it is nothing for me to go into the regstry (regedit) and adjust the computer. I like my computer to do what I want it to do not what windows think is necessary. This is a vista machine so it is a little different then xp. But I can and will fix my computer.Nothing to worry about as long as you have the operating system disk (OEM). Cause if you mess up the OEM can be reinstalled. My note to everyone that uses a computer is back up files on a cd or a floppy. I can't stress that enough back up all your files before your computer does crash.Cause if you don't back the files up they might be lost forever!

Hi there.:) great question. Perfect timing.
This morning I received a discouragement from my mom. Won't tell the details here but ever since mom is just like that. She wanted me not to experience pain for pursuing a goal that seems so hard. I understand what she meant because she just don't want me to feel depressed but for me it seems like she doesn't believe on what I can become. Sure there will be lots of frustrations and failures in reaching a goal but I know it would seem all worth it when I reached success:)
i have nothing against my mom but I somehow thank God i have my uncle my mentor who believes in what i can do.:)
He stood up as my father all my life. i look up to him so much because he believes in me and he accepts my failures just as he believes in me.
My uncle used to be like me once, he told me... His parents wanted him to pursue Nursing but he intentionally failed the board exam to pursue his dreams as a businessman. He became a teacher, a bank manager, a sales agent and is now a unit manager of a prestigious life insurance company and part owner of a 5 star hotel in Subic. By the way he was also a barefooted vendor in his young years.:)

When someone tries to tell me that i can't do something, i will do whatever i can to prove them wrong. If i have to study, or learn how to do it then that is what i will do. I have learned several things in my life, that i was told i could not do because i am a woman. I stood back and watched how things were done and then i did them on my own, just to prove that i could. I know that there are a few things that i can't do that a man can do, but there are also things i can do as a woman that a man can't do. I cannot just sit back and let it go when someone tells me i can't do something, i have to prove them wrong at any cost. It has helped me to learn things that i probably never would have learned.

Hi Dmrone. I hate it when someone tells me I can't do something cause I am a woman. I will do it to prove to them that I can do anything a man can do. I had more brothers then sisters so I hung out with the boys. I wanted to learn how to take care of what I need to do. And my brothers thank God were really cool and tried to teach me everything. I love being a tomboy.
