I am an airtel customer for four years. I am happy in their network services and offers. Signal is very good. Recently, what is happening in airtel, when I am calling to one of my friends airtel number, it says that 'number doesn't exist'. But the number is used by my friend actively. It is highly irritating and happening often. Any others facing this problem?

Yes, Airtel is now going to the dogs it seems. I have been one of their regular customers. Today, I had a small migration in my account to a wireless modem instead of broadband service. They made a complete mockery of the whole thing. First when I called the customer service, they say the charges would be Rs. 1000/-. Then when the person came for installation he says the charges are Rs. 1500/-. When I called back the customer service, they made me wait for 30 mins on a call, then tell me that they have misinformed me and there is another scheme of exact same rate and same charges in which the charges are 1000/- and in my scheme it is 1500/-. I asked them if it is the exact same scheme how is it different? They say we do not have an answer, but you can migrate from one to another. So I said go ahead and migrate, then they tell but sir it will take 3 days, so you still need to pay 1500/-. Then I told them as you have misinformed me I do not need this service take this back. Once I get myself migrated to the same scheme with a different name, I will again raise a ticket and then install the facility for Rs. 1000/-.
What a real shame? The poor engineer he worked for 30 minutes to get things up, he had to take everything back and went home disgruntled. As a customer I am completely irritated and contemplating moving to some other vendor. It is really a pathetic show from Airtel!!
Cheers!
