Hi friends, In my country mercy killing is not allowed, but i feel sad for them who suffers from terrible pain & want to die but they can't do that because it's treated as suicide but what about their family members who are financially & emotionally not strong to handle all the hospital bills & to see our family member in terrible pain that also hurt them alot, i know if mercy killing will be made legal then may be many person will misuse it but it can be granted after looking the condition of patient,So what do you think? Mercy killing should be allowed in some cases legal?

hi! I think mercy killing, or we know it also as euthanasia is something that is not allowed in many countries, such as in yours and mines too, but i think sometimes it is the only way out, when we feel and know that there is no other way, and the person/animal suffers and nobody and nothing can help him/it. But as I say it must be the last and final decision, after we and the doctors have made everything possible!

Mercy killing must be a final decition after trying all the things but unfortunetly in our country and some other also poor people suffers as goverment restriction no doctor will dare to go for it.

yeah, i told you- in my country is the same situation, but people sometimes are really so desperate that no government or doctors can tell them what is allowed and what no!

I completely agree with your opinion, just because something can be misused, doesn't mean that people who need to use it also should suffer from it... I think there should be proper provisions, keeping in view all the circumstances and effects of mercy killing, also a time frame in which it can be executed, i am not saying that it should be allow to all and whenever necessary, but on the contrary it should have reasonable considerations and special circumstances to be applied up on. cheers.

Ya,You are right just because of the fear that some people will misuse it, we can't let other people to suffer,a special act in parliament must be passed that after verifing all the condition & with consent of court, doctor is allowed for mercy killing.

Hi gracce, For my opinion, I think mercy killing is ammoral acts. It depends upon the situation. Like for example in abortion, if the pregnant mother must abort the child in order to live, then it must be aborted. If the mother will die then the child was born, I think it hurts a lot.

Ya,it must be legalised in some cases if their is no other option then mercy killing as the person suffers a lot & family members also suffers financially & emotionaly too.

I go with mercy killing if it cannot be helped. It should be allowed in certain cases...Especially if that person is suffering too much pain and its not curable anymore. I know its gonna be hard. but if there is no chance for that person to live, I should let it go.. That's what I think... I don't want to see them in great pain and dying

Hello!! In Mexico we have a movie called "El bulto" its an easy way to express a weigth you carry. Its a real story of a man that in the late 70's was shot and remain like a vegetable for 20 years. So in the 90's he woke up and was no longer loved by his family and got very confused about everything. I think miracles happen and people can suddently recover so I don't agree in mercy killing. But you are absolutely right in the fact that families can't handle those situations for long. I think that if the government doesn't want to make it legal, they should pay for all the medical bills or make special hospitals for people they know are most likely going to pass away or ar in a veggie state. That's my point of view!!

No,i don't think so that in my country goverment have enough time to build a hospital for people suffering from lot of pain or to pay their hospital bill because population is too much,& development is not in the same extent so after all the things people remain all alone to fight with their badluck and no way to go for them because of government restrictions & their badluck.

In my own opinion mercy killing is better than letting the person suffer pain until they die, but we have no right to take ones life unless he approves of it but if the person would suffer for a long time and in the end they will just die what's the point of letting him live. He/she will just suffer the pain and in the end will die. I think that mercy killing in some cases should be allowed es[ecially when the person has no chance to live. This way it saves the person from his/her suffering and saves money from paying the hospital bill.

Totally agree with you, mercy killing is better than letting the person suffer pain until they die.it can be legalised in special cases where their is no hope to survive for a patient.

I would leave it to the patient to decide. I never did make such decision for anyone, not even my dad or my brother in law. in my case, I told hubby that if certain things happen to me, he should just tell the doctor to end it. hubby didn't tell me about his, this is something I should ask him before it happens. because what if he is in a coma and can't talk?

i believe mercy killing should not be allowed. it is only god who has the right to end peoples life. doctors are there to extend the life of people and not to end it.

I just wouldn't want that decision on my shoulders, life is too precious for it to be up to me whether or not to take it.

i feel that if u r not able to bear the pain and there is nothing to do about it then there is nothing wrong with mercy killing.but killing people on religous basis or some other beleifs and calling it mercy killing is definitely. i remember an incident where a parsi women wanted to die and her family let her do it just becoz of some religous beleif ....this surely is wrong. if u granted with the gift of life u shuld nourish . nobody has the right to take it from u not even u urself. still there are many cases where we are helpless..like in a few cases where the patient is in comma for many long years and is only a burden and dont have any chance of coming back ,,......in this cases mercy killing can be considered but that too as the last option

There have been many cases of mercy killing in our country and I still cannot figure out whether mercy killing is legal or not! I think mercy killing must be done only after proper documentation and other stuff like that!

My uncle who passed away last week was in a coma because of bloodclot due to hypertension. He fell into coma like for several days before he's gone. The doctors told my auntie to have him operated but the chance of survival was likely 50-50 percent. but my auntie didnt want to losemy uncle so she had him operated. Amazingly, he survived yet he's into sleep. After a few days of observation, the doctors found out that his brain was not making any activity but his lungs and heart were at good condition at all. yet the doctors confirmed him braindead. My auntie was given the option of keeping alive though sleeping or just euthanized my uncle. Of course she didnt want to lose so she opted to the first one. My uncle lived like for a few weeks but didnt survived.
