Global Warming disproved? How about Global Darkening!

Massive blizzard across the mid-Atlantic disproves Global Warming Hoax? Maybe we can throw out the records of increasing temp's and go to what the temporary situations show.
How about when the sun sets and my town is enveloped in darkness for a while - - if you use the same logic of short term weather conditions proving things, does that prove a theory of global darkening? Hey, if its dark for a while, maybe we are going into global darkening!
Run for the hills!!

Not only is there global darkening, but there is global wind...something...it's windy here so it must be global...and there's global mosquito...ing. One year a hurricane blew fleas onto other people's properties so if you add the global wind...something...to the flying flea problem you have a global bugfest.

global darkening has already been here for several hours . and i have a sore ankle so i can't run. especially up hills. however if i am stuck with the sinister forces of global darkening, (which disproves of course all that junk science produced by so called scientists about the mythical 'daylight') i suppose i have time to think up a suitable konspiracy.

Why not go with Robert Kennedy Jr,(two years ago) a Global warming Expert who said that the lack of snow in Washington is proof of Global Warming or go with a more recent news report that the increases in snow is proof of Global Warming.
Or what about the emails that gave the directions to take the air temperature in a sunny spot to prove global warming. Or better yet why not only publish the findings that support global warming. Maybe ask some guy in India to measure the shrinking in the glaciers - during the summer only.

Yes. We can't shake it! It's global warming either way.
I watched Dr. Michio Kaku explain on Geraldo about moisture in the air due to increasing temperatures (common sense stuff, but I actually like Kaku and feel he's not out to sell BS). So, for this year, that makes perfect sense! OMG, it's warming up! Help!
But, as you stated, we've been on a snow drought for many of the years that global warming was supposed to be here.
So, I'm inclined to believe Dr. Kaku when he says that increased snow can be from a warming planet. But I'm also listening when he says that we MUST have the data over hundreds of years and not just a short time in our history. Oh, and it's also on point when he says that America makes up only a fraction of the world's land mass but has all the media!

it has been windy here, maybe the earth will blow away. It is all Bush's fault. We must now stop eating beans. This is the only way to save the earth.

When I want legal information, I go to a lawyer. When I want information on scientific matters, I go to scientists. I am a member of a science and astronomy forum chock full of actual scientists from all over the world. There are a lot of various area represented, phycists, astronomers, climatologists, geologists, chemists etc. So far, I have never seen one who is completely sold on climate change being totaly man made. There is a LOT of uncertainty out there in the scientific community still and even they agree, there simply isn't enough data or even enough propper scientific method being applied to studying it.

that is reasonable enough - climate is very complex [which is why there is so much complete drivel spouted on it, from both erm 'sides'] with lots of factors playing a part. trying to simplify it [it is cold. a hoax!' or 'it is hot. proof!'] looks ridiculous. last discussion on climate change i saw had some vociferous twerps coming out with the funniest drivel i have seen for a long time. i was going to hand out prizes to best burble from a 'its a hoax' person, best burble from a 'we are doomed' person and a final prize for loudest burble. what is your forum by the way?

"Maybe we can throw out the records of increasing temp's "
That's exactly what the scientists at the center of the Hadley CRU Climategate scandal apparently did. They chucked the raw data from the last 75 years and kept only the "value adjusted" data.
It's not about the fact that it snowed a lot last week, or even this winter - or even last winter, for that matter. The problems stem from the number of statements in the IPCC report that are increasingly being proven to be false, made up, based on articles in magazines, or based on the economic needs of the country the scientists are from, as well as the emails that seem to show a clear conspiracy to keep skeptics out of peer-reviewed journals and the missing data that could show their computer models are based on real data. What about the member of the IPCC who is receiving large donations from businesses that would benefit financially from the types of regulations that GW believers demand? There's also the little problem that none of their computer models (the ones that predicted runaway global warming) predicted the cooling of the last decade. Temperatures have not risen in ten years, they are going down.
For me, in order to believe these scientists, I would have to see them being right about something, anything. But they haven't been right about one prediction so far, and given the very elaborate cover-up they engaged in to keep anyone from examining the data they base their theory on, I find them less than reliable.

Good post and thank you. You saved me the time of posting, or more to the point, you saved me from wasting my time trying to state something that's obvious to the thinking public, but evades the minds of people who believe propaganda by those who have been PROVEN to be liars that manipulate and/or destroy any data that doesn't support their agenda.
I think the simplest thing for someone to do is look at global temperatures over the last several years. There's a clear drop.
Eventually the loons that sell this crap will be forced to acknowledge that fact and I GUARANTEE you they will say that we should thank them, as the policies they pushed are the reason for the "global cooling". I wonder if anyone else has realized that instead of "global warming" they are now saying "climate change". That's so they can sell their propaganda regardless of whether it gets warmer or cooler.
