Fighting words between Ellen and Stern

There seems to be fighting words going on between Ellen and Howard Stern. Howard Stern wants to take over Simon Cowell place come next season. Ellen supposely has said he is not right for the show. I totally agree with Ellen. Howard Stern is too dirty and disgusting to be on a Primetime show like American Idol. There are other people who could take over Simon Cowells place. Even though I surely don't think the show will survive without him. So what do you think about Howard Stern taking Simon's place?

Didn't know this. I do know about the news that Howard Stern has been rumored to take over Simon. I don't think he's the right person as well. Might as well put David Hasselhoff there, but he's with Dancing with the Stars, am I right. Put someone like that. Or Ryan Seacrest even. Anyone, except Howard Stern, LOL..

David Hasselhoff was on America's Most Talented but is not returning to that show. Anyone would be better then Howard Stern. We shall see what happens.

As for myself, lelin, I quit watching AI years ago, but my daughters watch it faithfully. I don't see Howard Stern being seriously considered to fill Simon's seat because he really is not ready for prime time.
As you said, there are many who could possibly take over the reins with success, but I'm not even sure that the show has much life left in it.

I agree with you. I will feel bad for the kids coming up who are wishing to try out but won't get the chance.

i quit watching when they took Paula off. She looks real good and shes been around for along time. I think if America wants to be more like south american tv or germany tv put on Howard stern, but if you want to be dull and prissie keep the judges and loose the audience. Actually they can put on anything on tv and people will watch it. I mean jersey shore? is #1 and for what because of hot chicks and guys? is it me or has America becaome cheap on making sitcoms instead they make reality shows.

Hi, lelin1123. I feel the same way that Ellen feels! Howard Stern is weigh too nasty and manish for The American Idol.
He is not fit to be a judge. He is a silly and is a dirty mouthed individual that does not have respect for women and men..
They should find someone else that would be qualified better. They can find someone else because, Howard needs a hard boot to his rear end!

I have been debating as to whether I will still watch Idol after Simon leaves, but if Howard Stern takes his place then the decision is already made. He is the most obnoxious and disgusting person on tv! No way would he be good for the show.
