Hi thunderbala, If we were to believe everything we read then everything would be harmful to us. I do not pay much attention to such articles or studies anymore because nine times out of ten they contradict each other. So I don't think a cell phone is any more harmless then anything else we use on a day to day basis. The only way a cell phone might harm you is driving you crazy when you want peace and quiet. Did I mention that, "All cell phones are evil"

They might not be totally harmless but then there is no real proof either way. If they were that much of a danger then I am sure a lot less people would use them or let alone own one.

hi, so nice to discuss on this topic. it is true that cell phones radiate high frequencies. it is harmfull too. it is all because of us only, we are responsible for that, we need best clarity in on conversations and not by wire. every thing we need is wireless. so the providers also increasing clarity with high frequencies and it does increase the coverage area too. every body know it is harmfull, but nobody even me also think about it. because it is helping us now. and we including me intrested in now only. the infulence and effect that is going to take place in the future is not viewing now. this is not a small problem. our future race will be surely effected with this thing. i cannot advice to reduce the usage, because i only use it more. i cannot say be carefull with this, because we cannot be away from this. it was just spread all over. i can just only say bare it till your last breath. if my discussion looks foolish just laugh and leave, if my discussion hurts some body please escuse me, if my discussion feels good thank you.

Cell phones are harmless. The only reason I could think a cell phone might cause a baby to cry is if the parent left it in the child's room while the child was trying to sleep, it rang, and woke up the child. Other then that it's harmless. I think the only "neverous" problem anyone should have, or might have would be the simple fact that prices today are outragous. Depending on the feature your bill can be effected. That would cause problems, but no companies aren't trying harm people with their products.

I think cellphone is harmful if you don't pay attention where you put it on like near your heart because their was a study that the vibration of cellphone makes a cancer or tumor. Pay extra attention also to loudness of the volume cellphone. It makes you irritate or harm your ear drum.

I do believe that it can be. If you live with them up to your ear. I have never heard of the high frequency.

Well, I have read a few articles about the dangers of mobile phones for quite a few years now. It is not proved though, but to be safe, I prefer to use mine on loud speaker so as not to put it right next to my ear. I have never noticed babies crying in the vicinity of a mobile phone though, or even heard of it. I guess they are probably not that good as there is an electro-magnetic energy that comes from them, but whether it really hurts us or not, will not really be known with 100% accuracy for some time to come yet, after they have gotten all their research done. _Derek

anything done in excess is harmful. same goes to other things like too much noise or loud music, so it does make sense that it can or may cause a nervous breakdown. we don't have to do that to experience it.

I've been a regular user of a cell phone since I was seventeen years old, so for the past eleven years. I've never experienced any of the things that you have mentioned in relationship to the cellular phone. In fact, the only way that I can tell that the phone sends out waves that we aren't able to hear or sense on a regular basis is that sometimes when you have your phone near a radio or baby montior you will be able to hear feedback.

Hey friend! I don't know if the above information are true of not, but I know that cell phones are harmful for health. For example I can say that the cell phone towers spread high frequency turning the environment hotter. And this temperature is harming the trees. But, in fact, there are many other machines/devices (e.g.: TV/Monitor screens, machines with loud noises etc.) that we use everyday can harm us in various ways. Have a nice day.

..Hi thunderbala, I have not heard what you posted, but I have heard about much research, pro and con, about cellphones causing tumors of the brain, if you hold them against your head for long periods of time. If you think about it, too much radiation is not good for our bodies. There is nothing between the cellphone and our heads, so it has a direct impact on that side of the brain where you hold the phone. It would make sense to me, if we did not hold the phone, even a landline phone which emits radiation as well, close to our heads for long periods of time. Children are growing and they say, their brains are especially susceptible to tumors. Take care.

We did an experiment when I was in college about this, there has been a lot of speculation and studies about if the use of cell phones can affect the brain of not. Whenever a cell phone works it creates radiation, and heat, but this is totally harmless according to most of the studies, the FCC has standards that cellphones fabricators has to follow in order to be secure for human beings, in some countries they are different than in USA, in the ex soviet union countries they used to be considerably tighter than in USA, but in general terms there hasn't been any conclusive evidence that cell phones caused any problems.

Yes it is correct but it is a gradual process of harm. not immidiate. i think the baby's crying is due to some other reason. and this is not possible as far as i know. but this is true due to high radio frequency there is a long term effect on our body.

Yeah ,as far as I am concerned, I think the cell phone does have some harmful factors in the world. For the Mobile phones have radioactivity to people's health. So hwen I am going to sleep , I usually just turn off my cell phone at that time.

hi,Cell phone or any landline if it is used in the way it should be then there will not be any such problems. But now adays we use them like anything.Definetly we are more conscious towards a call rather than many other things. While eating also we like our mobile nearby.while sleeping to it is side .This causes us much tensions.Definetly we get problems if we use it un necessarlily

i dont know whether this is true but i have heard many people telling that cell phones are harmful for us . but i cant live without it . its a great piece of communication . moast think that its harmful because of the radiofrequency waves . but some scientists have said that there is no harmful in the waves that come out of a cell phone . the only thing that is harmful in cell phone is the one wen it is used during driving since it causes lots of accidents . happy mylotting

That is what I heard as well so try using an earphone when using it to avoid absorbing high frequency
