What was your favorite toy as a young child ?

When I was young, you could put a box of legos in front of me and I'd be very happy playing and building for hours at a time. It didn't matter what I made, it was the fun of the creation of it. I didn't make the same thing every time, sometimes I'd try to make a Dragon, or a house, or a bridge.
And I still love Lego's today, tho they have come along way since I was little!
So what was your favorite toy as a young child and why did you like it so much?

My favorite toys were Transformers. They were so cool because you had a car or you had a robot so it was like 2 toys for the price of 1.

Ah,,,I can see why you'd love them. Robots are super cool and I agree you could play with them in many ways! Plus they were well made and lasting a long time without breaking!!
I had a kid I'd babysit that took his to bed with him every night just like a stuffed animal only it was a Transformer!!

That is cool he used his as a stuffed animal. I wish I would of kept mine when I was younger and not let my parents give them to my brother since the original transformers are worth some money now as collectibles.

I have two favorite toys that I got when I was young. A Voltron lion team and the vehicle team. The lion team was made with metal and plastic and the vehicle was mostly plastic. I had lots of fun playing with them specially connecting all of them to form one robot that you can still move the arms and the feet.

Robots and toys that change are awesome! We didn't have those when I was young but when I was a young teen, I got to babysit kids who had transformers and such. The parents thought I was such a great baby sitter since I'd play with the child and the toys for hours!
Little did they really know that I was having as much fun as their little one! I think changeble toys really spark imagination so much more than the video games do tho I'd have loved a Game Boy or a Playstation PSP as a kid too!!

My favorite toy would have to be my yoyo. I love that thing and studied every trick I can get my hands into. I remember how my middle finger would hurt because the string would get too tight while I was playing.

Wow!! Good for you for working so hard to master it and do tricks!! I wasn't very good with it and sometimes couldn't even get it to go up and down on a regular basis. But I have seen some folks who do amazing tricks !!

I also love lego! I try to be as creative as I can, and I enjoyed just building something out of it for hours. I also love playing with my barbie dolls just like any little girl. I love to dress them up with different clothes. :)

Barbies were a close 2nd! I loved getting the outfits just right but never managed to keep track of all those tiny tiny shoes. And was it just me or did the shoes not stay on very well?
And some of the clothes were gorgeous too! I had 2 sisters so we'd all play barbies together sometimes! Think I might have been abit more of a tomboy then, cause Lego's and even the smell of them brings back very happy memories!
