Hello, Pikey - another deep question to ponder. All the answers that come to mind shouldn't exist anyway. I mean, if he's got long toe nails and might scratch my lily white legs, he should cut them, not leave his socks on. And if his feet are cold, well I'll soon make him forget about that. If he has dirty feet, he should have had a shower before he tried to get me into bed. Need I go on?

Hello, Ramesh - nice to see you. I've been a bit busy with other things, but I have a free day today, and its cold outside, so I'm catching up on here. Let me tell you that my bedroom is a totally sock-free zone. You're welcome - as long as you leave the socks behind.

I really don't know why men do that, they might as well leave their shoes on too, lol. It doesn't look attractive and it is a big turn off, massive!
I never seen anyone do that but if I ever came across an embarrassing moment like that, I would have to laugh and leave. I'm sure it would be the same if a girl did it, is just not attractive is like wearing sandals and socks, just looks odd. But does make me laugh!

I always thought a Guy wearing socks in the bedroom was a turn off for Women..it would probably indicate he hasn't washed his feet at least before leaving the house that day,and depending on if it was a work day, that could be from that Morning (and I emphasise at LEAST that long!)I'm trying to get the link between improved performance from the Guy's perspective,to a Turn off from the Woman's...surely those factors are incompatible?! Unless they'd give some support to the lower leg muscles, improving blood pressure, and being therefore of benefit further up?

The only reason I can think of for a man leaving them on is that he might need to dash out in a hurry if hubby comes home

Yes..........they keep ragged toenails from snagging on satin sheets and scratching the silky legs of ladies!

Back in the day whenever I saw a man get in bed with his socks on, I made him get out so I could change the sheets to my satin ones so he WOULD slip slide away! LOL

For me it always gives me the impression that the man is in a hurry to get somewhere. It is a major turn off if we are going to make love...I always feel like the man is expecting a wife or girlfriend to walk in or call and they need to be ready to run like hell.
Another thing is there is nothing sexy about a guy crawling in bed with sweaty stinky socks on their feet! EEEEWWWWW! Of course the cats and dogs I have would love it...nothing like getting the tantalizing odor of stinky feet to attract all the critters in the house to provide an audience for the intimate moments!
The only two reasons I can see for leaving their socks on is either they don't want to touch sweaty stinky socks or their feet are a source of embarrassment to them. Hummm, come to think of it, maybe they leave their socks on because they are afraid that the animals will either take them outside and bury them or carry them off and hide them.

I am not into having my socks on when i go to bed maybe because it doesn't get so cold in here. So, i think i would not appreciate my man with his socks on too. But if he has a legitimate reason then maybe i can tolerate him having his socks on.

Other than being cold I guess a guy could leave his socks on if his toenails are disgusting. I leave my socks on all the time and my ex said he would rather I left my socks on than feel my ice cold feet! I sleep in them, sometimes two pair. One pair of regular socks and one pair with traction on them because I am always getting up to go to the bathroom. My toenails are okay but my feet are freezing!

I had a space heater under my desk! My feet are always cold. Even in the summer. My doctor says my circulation is okay, but something must be wrong.

Because they have ugly feet and it is a turn off??? or that they have smelly feet and the socks help keep the scent at bay a little? In warmer months my husband takes his socks off. Only in winter does he keep them on because the floor gets cold. I can't seem to get him to wear house shoes.

Yeah, I can't stand wearing shoes in the summer. I go barefoot 90% of the time.

He should take them off after his shoes and before his trousers so he doesn't get caught in the sock gap. There is nothing more pathetic than a naked man with socks. It's not sexy at all. There was a coupling episode on the sock gap, well part of an episode. The hilarious BBC version of coupling, not the horrid American wannabe try.

The reason that my husband always gives for leaving his socks on all the time is that he doesn't want his feet to get dirty. He puts on socks when he first gets out of bed in the morning and doesn't take them off until he is getting into bed at night. And, yes, that does mean that he does have his socks on more often than not during moments of intimacy. I wish that he would take them off, but there is nothing that I can convince him to do to make it any different.

Wow, the ladies are really funny in here. As for leaving the socks on, I thought that was what a small minority of men did. I picture Steve Urkel when I think of men wearing their socks. It doesn't make sense, are the sheets dirty or something? One woman I was with was so hot that I had to leave the windows open in the winter! Socks on? Are you serious? Do they leave their hats on too? Hey, that seems cool, wearing a hat during a moment of intimacy.
