Come to think about your question makes me ponder momentarily about this thing called LOVE...Is it actually measurable ? If it is, then how could we gauge it? Two tagging questions right? And they're inseparable.
Years back then, when i was younger though I'm not yet so old as yet for now, reminiscing on those younger years,,,I could say that LOVE is immeasurable...But as years passed by making me reach maturity , I finally realized deep within me that LOVE is measurable...And how is it gauged ?--- The measurement is none other but the love which you're getting back from the one special person to whom it is directed to...When love is reciprocated well.It surely blooms more. And when left unattended, abandoned and taken forgranted, then it slowly fades as well...So, when I happen to cross path with elderly couple holding hands with each other.--- I could say with a smile " HOW WONDERFULLY THEY BOTH HAVE LOVED."

Here is the only measure of love I know.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 13:15 kjv
