If you were looking to buy a new house would you want stairs inside and outside your house? Would you want the spiral stairs? Would you be scared of them and why? I think they are very pretty but I would be afraid of slipping and falling. What about you?

I prefer houses with more than one story and I would like to have a beautiful staircase for instanse a spiral staircase. I really like spiral stairs, I think they are beautiful. My husband and I have been looking at a lot of houses. We have found a house that we both like, but it is too expensive for us so we are still looking for the right place. When we look at the pictures of the houses I always notice the stairs. I want stairs that are beautiful, and I don't want steps that are very narrow.

Well its depends on budget, individual houses are best when we wish for more privacy, and flats for less budget

I think that spiral staircases are beautiful but I wouldn't buy a home with one and I wouldn't buy a home with two stories. Our second home was multi-storied and it was very difficult to heat and cool. For it to be comfortable upstairs where the bedrooms were, the air would have to be set so low that it was like a meat locker downstair. I also found it to be inconvenient. When you buy a home, it is always a good idea to buy one with resale in mind. While a multi-storied unit and spiral staircases are pretty, you are eliminating a lot of potential buyers who can't or don't want to deal with stair from your resale pool.

I have plans right now to start building my dream house. I have a wrap around porch with a couple stairs that lead to the main entrance. Once inside you could go straight up a staircase that goes to the second floor. I have two other stair cases in my dream house. One is in the back of the house that leads upstairs to a guest bedroom. The other stair case is a spiral one that goes up to a viewing loft for my art studio. I am not scared of any stairs because I grew up in a old farm house that had many stairs to climb. The only thing that comes close to stairs that I am scared of would be ladders. I always feel like I am going to fall off them.

I like houses with more than one story, so yes, I do want the house that I buy someday to have stairs. I think that spiral staircases are really pretty, but if they're really narrow they make me feel dizzy. If they're wide, though, I don't have a problem with them. I think I'd prefer a straight staircase, though, one with a nice polished wooden railing that I could slide down!
