I read that drinking at least 8 to 12 glasses of water can help you lose weight, as long as you eat healthy. I put it to the test for one week, and after many trips to the bathroom, I did lose a solitary pound. I also started hating the taste of water. But isn't that just loss of water weight? What do you think?

Well, when you drink water, you are drinking that instead of pop & other drinks with calories. So you don't intake as many calories as you usually would. So that probably would help you. Did you drink anything besides water?

Start your day with a glass of water. As soon as you wake up, gulp down a glass of cool water. It’s a wonderful way to start you day and you only need a lesser quantity of your breakfast drink after that. A glass of water lets out all your digestive juices and sort of lubricates the insides of your body. You may have your morning cup of tea but have it after a glass of water. It is good for you.

They used to say that drinking water before meals will help you eat less, though I just read how it's bad for you, so I'm actually quite confused. As for weight loss by just drinking water, I guess it will only work if it wards off your craving for sweets or junk food like me. I also drink two glasses of water as soon as I wake up to help with good bowel movement so I won't feet bloated and fat.

What you lost was water weight? Water does help with weight loss because it helps to keep you feeling full. Nonetheless, water is very good for you. To be healthy, you should keep your body hydrated. To lose weight, you have to watch what you eat and you have to exercise. Very boring, I know but it is the only way to take off weight and keep it off permanently

i is a weight loss trick but trick in such a way that it would do wonders when it comes to shedding off those pounds but it's something that one just chooses not to do. i mean even before we stepped in the 1st grade we all know that water is good for the health.

Sometimes when we think we feel hungry we are actually thirsty so making sure you drink enough water during the day means you don't eat unnecessarily.
As someone else said, if you replace calorie laden drinks with water it can cut down your intake quite considerably.
Besides, those trips to the bathroom might also be burning a few calories too!

I think that whilst it doesn't make you lose weight directly, the effect of consuming a large intake of water is that it fills you up and avoids any feelings of hunger that you may get
