This may not be what you thought, I am curious if you fit the profile given to you by horoscopes. Many of you are probably aware that today is the start of the Chinese new year. It is the beginning of the Year of the Metal/Steel Tiger and it got me thinking. I am not a "believer" of horoscopes be they western Zodiac or Chinese Zodiacs or other astrologically based profiling. I do however find the information interesting and enjoy reading the history and profiles that these astrological patterns.
I find that I fit the profile of the Wooden Ox, which is the year I was born in, and I fit the sign of Scorpio as well and was wondering if others fit their profiles as well.
Do you believe? I think it is very interesting how well some people fit their profiles. Shout out if you have any interesting Zodiac related stories as well.

Hello Lizardgod,
Im a snake/taurus. As far as being a snake goes, it says that my family will never go hungry. Well thats true, I usually cook in large batches and Im rather a good cook.
I wont believe what it says in the newspapers as far as horoscopes go. I had a friend who was in Astrology and she made my chart. Now, when its your own chart, then you can get a lot of pertinent information.
I'll give you an example: We wanted to buy a house a few years ago and I asked my friend about it. We both did the research in her books and we found out that there was something about Pluto. It meant that something could be wrong with the land or the foundation of the house.
We asked the pertinent questions to the Real Estate Agent and found out that if the house was to burn down, we wouldnt be able to rebuild as there wasnt enough land. So we would have had to buy more land at the back.
Needless to say, we didnt buy that house. So Astrology saved us from making a big mistake.

Yeah, I can see where having your own chart made would make a big difference on how precise the information would be. I don't even look at the bogus crap in the paper, I could write that for goodness sake and that is just from the stuff I got the net after a day of research.
I tell ya though, some of the general profiles are pretty creepy on how accurate they can be.
Thanks for responding.

Interesting enough the rabbit is the Chinese equal to Pisces.
This is what I dug up on the sign of the Rabbit (I assume that the Pisces one would be similar)
Rabbits show these characteristics.
Keen, Wise, Fragile, Tranquil, Serene, Considerate, Fashionable, Sneaky, and Obsessive.
Rabbit Bio:
Susceptible to illness and allergies.
Stress or conflict can lead to illness.
Exercise helps relive stress but they do not exercise regularly.
Usually incorporate action into everyday activities.
Home is a beautiful place with decorations or plants or other things to make it feel like home.
They are extremely organized.
Usually paint choices are different shades of green.
I have a lot more but since I can't copy and paste it lol, it takes so long to move from one to another web page.
If you are really interested let me know and I will send you a link to the page I am using.

I'm more closely "related" to my western Zodiac sign of Scorpio than my Chinese sign of the Monkey, although the Monkey and Scorpion have some similar qualities (which, of course, I do have)...primarily mischief. I have not spent a lot of time researching the Chinese Zodiac so I don't know what my element is, just that I was born in the year of the Monkey.

If you want I can tell you, what year were you born? I am doing an article on the Chinese Zodiac and a blog post so I have looking at this stuff all day.
A fellow scorpio eh.... Always good to meet one :)
I actually wish I believed in all this stuff but I am to logical I think, but it is all fascinating.

Sometimes I fit the profile. Those things are very vague. I have been known to be outgoing, have a charming personality, etc. But I have also known to be the exact opposite at certain times in my life. The accuracy of horoscopes depend on however the wind blows with me.

Yeah most people change frequently so I am sure it would be hard to peg down at any given moment. I think the idea is to look at what is your normal.
See I am an outgoing kind of guy, willing to voice my opinion, most of the time. However you catch me on the right day and all I want to do is hide and not talk to a soul. On that day I might not fit a profile that made to describe me personally much less a vague description of people born when I was, so I know what ya mean.

Unfortunately not
I have never believed in the whole idea of hororscopes or star signs, and have never had any experiences that have led me to believe otherwise. Whenever I do read through the horoscope section of a magazine or newspaper or whatever, my predicted "fate" has never, ever come true.

Oh my goodness no! I'm a leo and most Leo's are supposed to be out going and loud and expressive which I am not at all! I'm quiet shy and only express my thoughts and feelings through myLot! And I'm a Monkey on the Chinese Zodiac and I don't remember what it says. But I'm sure I don't fit that profile either.

i also do not believe neither of the western or chinese. but good to know that being a monkey and leo, i fit what both says according to my personality. and it is kind of fun to follow what the stars tell about us today, though most of the time, it is the opposite.
