I had to start a discussion on this because it makes me furious!!!

How can you be cooking something and fall asleep? If you are that tired dont being useing a stove or something that could cause a fire. I just read an article on yahoo news this AM. A babysitter was cooking and fell asleep the hosue caught on fire she awoke and jumped out the window. She left 4 kids under the age of 5 who could not get out in a burning house, that she caused! That just urges me, I believe she should get charged for their deaths because she started the fire by stupidity and made no attempt to help the helpless kids. None of the 4 could be saved but the babysitter is fine.
I just cant believe someone could just fall asleep cooking something!

That is true I mean come on. I feel so bad for these babies parents because they trusted this person and came home to a heartache. I mean I know things can happen but you can prevent them to like if you are too tired DON'T COOK!!

I believe it was a guy. I read both ways, I have also read that it was a babysitter then another one said a dad that was also babysitting. Either way it seems wrong that they didn't think about the kids at all. If they did they shouldn't have been cooking if they was that tired. make something in the microwave that isn't gonna make a fire! I hate that those kids where put in harms way because of someones stupidity!

That sounds so horrible.. How could a baby sitter be
like that, she was so careless and she left the
children to burn.... I am very enraged by that news...
I hope she would be punished by this.. It really was her
fault.. I hope she's not a filipina though.. ^^,

I know i was upset by this too. I just couldnt believe it whether was dad or a babysitter they still should have made an attempt instead of jumping out the window and saving themselves. I wonder if there is really alot more to this story. I cant think of a human leaving 4 children in a burning house.

That is insane! Who in their right mind would fall asleep while cooking? Then she leaves the children? How old is this babysitter? Those poor parents. I cannot imagine how they are coping with the fact that the person they depended on to care for their children practically killed them- not intentionally but out of stupidity. That is heartbreaking to hear.

I would be devistated. I am not sure if the article I read was right because some of the fact that I had are not what was said in others. I live in flint michigan. I am so horrified by this. I can not believe it! I am so sorry for those kids. I just hope they was asleep and not awake and scared for their lives.
