yugasini its up to each of us to decide what smiley we want to use, whether it is appropriate or not. I use the one for anger and also use the devil and the evil face when I am talking about something that really irritates me. the lol one is for laughter, when we want to be humorous, also the happy face, oh you can figure it out I am sure,you want to think about what emotions you are stirring up and find the emoticons closest to those emotions. but you will soon learn what smileys are best for what you want to portray . For my dearest friends here I like hugs and cheering and have a good day. but you must decide using your own feelings yugasini. have fun ,happy mylotting.

Yes, I too noticed the use of smileys a few days back when mylot was newly implemented. This has made my replies more colorful and I try to use it whenever I can. It was also specified when we were informed. You probably didn't read it huh? It's ok, I think a lot of us have slipped a couple times here and there, myself included.

i like using mylot smileys. i just recently started a discussion asking where to find smileys. now i know where. i use smileys to put a mood in the discussion or the feelings. it makes the paragraph nice.

I use the smiley's all the time, as they express the way I feel much easier that typing the code out. I have been using them for quite sometime, and I hope to keep using them. I like the fact that mylot added more smileys that what they had. If I couldn't use the smileys then I wouldn't be able to express myself like I have. They are fun to sue so just use them to your heartn's content, but you can only use 3 in each post. I wish we could use more, but since we can't then I try to pick the best 3 showing the way I feel. Actually the official name would be emoticons, as they are online expressions of emotions. You can't really see someone's facial expression as they are typing or know the intent of their heart. Smileys or emoticons let a writer express their emotion and send a message to other readers as to what they are really feeling at the time.

i could not believe that with your number of posts, you still don't have the idea what mylot code is. new members are eager to reach their first two hundred posts because we can only start using these codes if we reach 200. anyway, it is up to each of us how we will use them. one last thing, be to be here always. there are lots of to happen everyday. and would you believe there are in mylot?

Hi yugasini! I am just trying to get used to the new emoticons too! There are some really great ones that they added! I think that the admin did a really good job! They finally listened to us asking for some new ones! It will take time for us to all get used to the new stuff that they have added, but they did work hard and I think it was well worth it! Well I think I know the meaning of these smileys, so I can use them in the right place in the right time. I use lots of smileys while chatting via Windows Live Messenger too, so I am quite used to them.

Hi yugasini, I have aways been using smileys because it is effective in a discussion to convey some meanings...I am glad that you have come to know about smileys and are now using them. As you go along you will learn how to use them effectively, it is no big deal, dont worry about it, if you place the cursor on the smiley you get the title like that is for angry and this is for confused and so on...so make the best of it and happy mylotting
