We say we believe in God and we are faithful.. but when difficulties comes, sometimes, our faith wavers.. There are times in my life when I even tried to question God why such things happen to me.. then afterwards, I regret what I've done and ask for forgiveness.. Do you have some experience like mine?

The Bible is full of admonitions to ask - seek and knock, on God's door {as a natural term.}
God expects us to ask Him for help and answers.
It says in the New Testament book of James: "if any among you 'lacks wisdom' let him/her ask of God and He will give it LIBERALL, and the word afterwards is an old english term I think. But it says he will not "upbraid" us, which I believe means that He'll not be upset with us for asking.
God is not just our God and Saviour, but our friend, counselor and deliverer. He brings comfort and answers when we're not even aware of His doing it. I know this, for I am going through the grieving process of losing my precious husband of over 50 yrs., and I couldn't have made it this far without His love, and have felt His closeness here in my home as never before!
One last thing - there's another scripture that I just know He had put in the Bible "just for me" LOL - - it says in 2nd Timothy 2:13 - 'even though we believe NOT, yet HE abides (remains) faithful.' That means that He understands our frailities and questions.
He's a big God and has a marvelous understanding of our finite minds and questions, so ask away - He's always listening. Try reading the Psalms in the Old Testament. There, you will find many things that David went through, just like you, and how he approached God, and the Bible says that David "was a man after God's own heart." David was a man who repented often, prayed often, worshipped often, and questioned often.
Hope I've helped in some small way.

Hello Rayne,
Only a fool would deny having a time where he/she did not question God. you can't help it when you're under pressure, some times you would asked, why me, why me.
that's why i do apologize afterwards after asking him that. i know i shouldn't whine or complain since i got things that others don't./

Always, and in all ways. I will ask God in my prayers, why did this trying thing happen to me? What lesson is it you are wanting me to learn from this? Help me to see the value in this situation, there is always value in every situation, I understand that God, but, please help me to find the value in this situation. And that is th way that I question God.
I appreciate you.

..I wouldn't blame Nirishasol.. there are times when I feel giving up that I start to question God of so may WHY's.. then later on, after surviving the test, I look up to God and ask forgiveness from and and also thank Him for not letting me down even if I questioned Him.. Still, I'm trying my best not to question God for anything that happens. I still believe that God has His own reasons of allowing things to happen that way..

Yes...
I have questioned God......
It happened when I was lost in the dark once....
But when God help me to see the right path that i need to take...
that is the time that I realize that God is always there watching on us and he is just testing our faith to him and he gave us many challenges so that we can learn from those challenges and became a strong person....

Yes, I experienced it too, I think GOD were testing our faith first before HE will give what we want, or something good to us, cause usually when in good times we will forget HIM, and in bad times we will remember HIM or beg for HIS mercy. So keep your faith no matter what happened.

Hi,
I once remember myself being an atheist. I used to deny any existence of God. I've always believed in myself. Then something happened to me and it swept me off my feet. I was totally numb with pain. Then suddenly I thought if everything in this world is so unreal, then what is the purpose of a human life? I considered, "Is there anything real, anything permanent in this world?" Then I developed a firm belief that if there is something that is totally standing apart from this untrue, dream of ours that must be the God. I turned into a believer. Now I believe that everything is under His control and everything he does is for our own good. Now I often ask God, "Why you kept me away for so long? I were a different person if I had been what I am now." I sometimes regret the time I've taken to make up my mind and to finally come to the righteous path.
God bless you all

..yeah.. the sad reality is, we don't question God when we are given blessings. We don't say why me, we only question Him when we are already down.

Hi getbiswa
I am happy atleast after a long time you are in the right path and started believing in God, but I can say one thing nothing is in your hands all this happened only his will, he is one who made you believe him. Now you are believing in him you will definitely prosper in your life and all the good things will happen to you in future. Have a nice day.

True indeed. Nothing is in my hand. Everything is controlled from some headquarter located somewhere else. I also believe that he also made me believe him, but when I question him, I ask "Why am I so late?". I dare not say that I am grateful for what he has done. We are his children, so it is quite expected that he will take care of us. Its just an expression of love and a resentment of finding myself in the right path after such a delay.
You can call me Biswa. That's my name.
God bless you

Yes this happens to me all the time. I have questioned God. In the the ten commandments we are to honor our mother and father, we are not to steal, we are not supposed to want... This is questioning God if we go away from these commandments, but if it is wrong in our eyes for not obeying then we should pray it over with God, and if we know it is out right evil then we would not be questioning God. this is the only time that we should question God, unless we know he is talking to us. On the ame line we are questioning God if we don't follow what is in Matthew. I am not sure of the scripture, but we should feed those in need, give water to those who thirst, give clothes, visit those in prison... follow your heart.

Ahuh! I once asked God for having mistaken me. There comes a very big failure in my life that made me depressed. I don't know that time if I'll still believe in HIm although still I know that it happened only because GOD wants me to learn from my mistake. And, GOD is really good for He hears and gave what is best for me at the right time. Just be patient.

I think in times of trials and tribulations, when we lose someone we love, we all have a tendancy to question God. Sometimes we even become Angry with God because we don't understand His plan for us. God knows that we are human and we sometimes have doubts, but we as Christians must remember that God is always by our side, even when we have doubts, He is there to guide us back to His fold with loving hands. When we believe in something we cannont see, such as God, it is called FAITH!

I am a devout Christian and while I have never doubted the existance of God, I have doubted God. Sometimes when I pray for things and God does not answer, then I start to question Him. I like to be in control and it is very hard for me to put my complete trust in Him, especially when my life seems to fall apart. And then, like you said, I ask for forgiveness. I feel like the Israelites must have felt. They messed up time and time again and yet God continued to forgive them. My faith has wavered more than once but I know that God still loves and cares about me.

..well said.. but sometimes, I can't help it just what sbryan said that when my life seems to fall apart, instead of becoming stronger, I become weak and ask God why? just like the others, it is indeed important to be calm and just trust in God because in times when we already feel like giving up, God has already prepared a way for us.. This, sometimes is not easily recognized because we are overcomed by our anxieties.. This is why sometimes, I would prefer somebody to remind me how God loves me..

Hi Sbryan
You are right God does not answer when you ask him for answer but one can definitely find some good result if they really believe in God. God almighty always forgives his children, I would only suggest you to believe in God always even in your hard ships and God will definitely take care of you.

Many times because of the misfortunes that I have experienced in life. I'm not lucky in my career and my health. Sometimes I believe life is very unfair we don't get what we really want in life. I don't know why God always gives me many trials sometimes I don't want to fight anymore and I want to end up my life.

..right.. but somehow, we don't realize the good things He did for us.. we only focus on our misfortunes.. we don't even thank God for renewing our health and giving us another day to live.. With your situation right now, I know its hard, but when I was in your sitaution (maybe not exactly), I force myself to attend church and listen to God words.. this way, the pain that I felt and the feeling of rebellion inside me is melted slowly.. after this, I try to renew my faith and continue hoping again that someday God will hear my prayers.. There are times when I seem not to know what and how to pray so I just lift everything to God.. and during the time when I least expected the answer, that was also the time when God answered me.. Move on and continue pushing.. Its not yet the end of the rope my friend.. and if you thought you've already reach the end of the rope, then tie you hands and hold on to the rope..

I actually don't think we would truly be human if we didn't question God at times because of things that have happened to us. Like you, when I do question things from time to time I do later have regret and I do ask for forgiveness for my lack of faith. I do have to admit though that it is difficult to accept everything in our lives without question and I don't think that I will ever be able to be a person that could do this.

Yes. And it happens often. Sometimes, I feel that I am becoming so bad by questioning God, then feeling hate, and anger. Then, later, I realize that the more nothing good will happen to my life if I don't believe, trust and have faith in Him. Then I pray, and ask for forgiveness for letting Him down again, and again, and again... Actually, it just happened again last night. I felt so guilty and prayed and prayed for His forgiveness...

Hi atebuds
There is nothing wrong in questioning God because when ever we have problems he is the one with whom we share our problems and who solve all of them as he is our father he always excuse us. I feel if you are not harming others or not doing any sin then need not get frightened of God because he understands our problems and forgive and take care of us. Have a nice day.

Yes, a lot of time. Whenever i feel like im down and weak, i always question him of the things that's happening to me. But after that, i always ask forgiveness since i always feel guilty about questioning him. We were taught since childhood not to question him. But due to current situation, because of health problem, i sometimes ask him why this kind of disease struck me down. Guilty as i am, afterwards, i ask forgiveness and i feel strong again.

we don't abandon our faith only frustrated with all the test that god is giving to us and we are guilty afterwards but it's natural but that's why we had to have strong faith and trust in the lord.

Well there have been times when i have been through difficulties but i have never really questioned him why this happening o him. Instead i ask him to bless me with the strength so i can face the problems and get through them unharmed. In life there will be times when God will want to test you and will put difficulties in your path. But we should not lose hope and our faith in God.
