can you concentrate when the music is on?

I'm like you. Sometimes I can concentrate, sometimes I become distracted if there is music playing while I'm trying to do something. If it's music that I like and it isn't too loud, it doesn't usually bother me. If it's music I don't like, I'm much more likely to be distracted by it. I think that's why I sometimes have a hard time concentrating on my shopping list when I'm at the store. I don't care for most of the music my grocery store plays and it makes it hard to focus on my list when all I'm thinking about is how much I dislike the song that's playing.

mmm...yea,I think I´m a bit like you too.Sometimes,when Iam listenig something I like or the music is not really loud.But when i heard the radio,and they play songs that I don´t like,or I´m listeining the cd of a very noisy band,I had a hard time trying to concentrate into my tasks...So,sometimes the music distracts me,and sometimes it helps me

Depending on what I am doing I will listen to music. When I am on the computer I will listen to music to help me concentrate on what I am doing or I will watch tv

actually I usually can concentrate better when it's music I like (usually relaxing classic rock or soft rock, etc.) but when it is some of the new age metal/hard rock I can definitely understand how someone could get distracted from what they are doing easily.

I can't concentrate with music on.If I'm gonna read or talk on the phone I prefer music to be off,it creates a distraction for me.

yes,music can concentrate when music on and sometimes distracted,that all depend of our condition.but mostly music can make me concentrate than distracted.because I like music so much and can help me to concentrate something

A lot of times when I'm reading something while listening to music is that I can't concentrate on what I'm reading but sometimes I can concentrate on what I am reading.
