I'm assuming because there's a Harry Potter picture you're referring to those books:-) I liked the books far better than the movies. In the books, they just get far more involved and you can read what the characters thoughts are along with their actions. With the movies, sometimes you're not positive what they're thinking, or the motivation behind why they're doing something. I find that with almost all books that are eventually made into movies. I'd much rather read the book first and then see the movie later.

I definitely agree that the book is better than the movie. But for most of the part of the series, after reading the book, I'm really disappointed with the movie. So if you don't want to be disappointed. Watch the movie, then read the book.

Hi quawi93. I have seen the movie, at least one of them. And I loved it! I think that I would enjoy the movie much better than I would with the book. I have never read the book before. Just seeing the movie on screen makes me prefer to see the movie vs reading the book. I like seeing the movie action on the screen better.

I think it would be unfair to compare movie and book. Because both have their charms and both are different forms of entertainment. In movie the viewers are greeted with special effects and director's imagination whereas in books readers immerse themselves in the world. I have not read any harry potter book till date.

In my opinion the books are far better than the movies. the movies cannot fully cover the whole content written in books. on reading books we get the clear picture and idea of the story. for a person watching HARRY POTTER movies without reading the books will have a tough situation to understand the story. but by reading books and then watching movies, one can perfectly understand the story of magic.

Both were equal in their respective genres since we are comparing apples to oranges. In a book comparison Harry Potter is at the top of the game, and in my opinion the movies are masterfully played out each and every one. Limiting a movies experience by saying it wasn't as original as the book is just an easy answer honestly.

There is no questions, hands down the book is so much better than the movie! I don't understand when people like to watch the movies over the books, because the books let you twerk with the images and allow you to imagine all the things that you want to happen, unlike the movies where the plot is set! I'm just saying.

I prefer the books. Not because I think the movies are bad, but the books have so much more than the movies, more details, more storylines, more depth. Of course, Snape is much hotter in the films :-) Snape in the books is just greasy, in the films he somehow pulls off to be greasy and hot. Impressive *he he*

Well an original piece is always better than a copied one. The book was way better in every aspect. It went into the details creating pictures making you imagine the world of wizards. And it came before the movies so that made it netter too. :)

Although I liked the movie, I liked the book much better. I saw the movie when it first came out so I am trying to remember. I know that the movie had to leave many things out or it would be too long, but I felt they left some key things out. For example, at the end of the book, their was a huge battle and the reason the Hermonie and Ron came out ok was because Harry gave them some of his good luck potion. Also, the reason that he did not come to Dumbledore's aid was that his headmaster put a spell on him that he could not move. The movie does not mention these. There are several other things that I cannot remember right now. But I can't wait for the next movie to come out.
